U Really R Boss Bro !! It's so good to see somebody like you with a great demeanor that you have about transportation and serving industry. I work with mfrs who receive and ship tools and oils over the I 80, I 35 corridor west of the Mississippi. You give an excellent glimpse into what this is and how it's just more of what's coming into existence out there. As time goes on, there will be apps and pay structures that will all become instant.
Thats what taxis used to say about UBER when it started, till Uber took the business. It always start with high rates and end up with low. One day you will drive $.50 cents a mile.
The taxi industry in Jacksonville is regulated. Taxi's must have a medallion which at one time was very pricey. Uber comes in to Jacksonville and just goes wild. Doing their thing which was actually illegal in the beginning. Didn't matter. Taxi drivers are even broker than before and the price of a taxi medallion has plummeted. Why buy a medallion when you can just download the Uber app? Uber has no regard for regulations. Apparently it's cheaper to pay off politicians and pay fines than to do it legally. They have a very high regard for money. Travis Kalanik's net worth went from $1 billion to $6 billion in about a year. That, my friends, is a big fat red flag. You have to ask yourself "How did he do it?". He did it by screwing the drivers and the riders. Do you think Travis has changed his ways? Do you think Travis' lust for wealth has just vanished. No, it's the same old deceptive tactics and a $6 billion dollar net worth isn't even close enough to being enough. The prices shown on the load board are controlled by Uber. They can and will fiddle with them in order to line their pockets. Uber's slice gets bigger. Your slice gets smaller. Remember this, Uber controls everything. Even your willingness to participate. You'll see. Keep your eyes open for incentives while the freight on other load boards disappears. The shippers will flock to Uber and so will you. Long before you realize what has happened it will be too late to save the old system. Just like WalMart put all the "Mom and Pop" stores out of business. By the time we knew what had happened it was too late to save the Mom and Pops. I'm not a hater. I just can't deny the facts.
Lol the irony of you saying Uber is crooked because they lobby and pay off politicians is funny. The whole reason "medallions" were expensive in the taxi industry was because the taxi companies lobbied and payed off politicians to make them expensive to have a defacto monopoly.
truthinvideos Did you know that if you have your own Mc# and your own truck, you don't have to stick with uber? You can go on just about anywhere. You aren't tied to just uber. shocking right?
Not shocking at all. The Uber drivers Have their own car. They pay for their personal insurance. Take care of all the maintenance and repairs. And they also can drive for other ride share companies. What you might find shocking is many drivers will travel for hours to get to another area where they stand a chance of making a little more money. Instead of driving back home they choose to sleep in their cars so they can drive in that same area the next day. In theory that saves them the expense of traveling back and forth. In theory they end up making more money. What isn't a theory is the fact that they feel stuck because they have car payments and they feel Uber is the only way to get them paid. In short, these drivers are desperate. Do you think these drivers woke up one morning and said "I want to be desperate"? No, these drivers never said that. These drivers were slowly painted into a corner. Now trapped in that corner they must turn tricks like a $2 hooker so they can satisfy the big Uber pimp. Coming soon to a load board near you.
One Rich yea good info, what are the CA to AZ rates looking like? If they have short hauls like that over there then I'll b str8 with what I'm trying to do on the west with 3 trucks
One Rich yea good info, what are the CA to AZ rates looking like? If they have short hauls like that over there then I'll b str8 with what I'm trying to do on the west with 3 trucks
What about your tolls and pre pass or your local directions. do you have to have your own authority and pay for your own plates. I do not which way to go with a sign on with a company or do my on Authority. I just got approve for to 2 trucks
Can you please make a video that shows someone how to be a independent trucker ? Also how much does it cost to be have a independent truck ? Thank you brother
Not a trucker but this interesting...so the rates u see is what they pay u??? How much does uber get? And this Is not just for big truckers right??? Thanks!!!
I'm just getting into the trucking independent business. can someone please list best load booking boards n brokers so i can get a good understanding of what a good rate is. comments n video has a wide range from $1.70 to $5/mile. where does reality/actuals sit?
It’s now May 29, 2019 Im in GA. Looks like Uber freight loads pay more dollar/mile vs DAT or Truckstop loadboards. They on those boards trying us with as low as .50 a mile for a 600 mile run...foh. I’m talking about partials/ltl loads.
How much it cost a month to use this. I'm looking to buy a truck and trailer next yr by summer and I want to use multiple sources. I feel like using more than one maybe about 3 you could really stretch your options
Bro! Those rates are garbage! You will go out of business with those rates! It's produce season and look on those rates, what's going to happen when the season is finish? You guys can't have a retirement plan, truck/trailer payment, health insurance and be paying taxes. I appreciate your informative video thou.
I drove taxi in the major Easter City before Uber came along . Then I drove for Uber while trying to go to school. Finally have to get back into Trucking because Uber Lord the rates four times in less than a year. I hope this gives you something to think about, oh and by the way, these rates are no good.
Not really!!! If the did they would Write in the description section... I️ have one more video to post about my overall conclusion of Uber Freight... So stay tune
Do you have to own your own trailer with Uber freight or can you buy the tractor alone? I plan to become an owner operator but I dont plan to buy a trailer. Just a tractor. Im leaning towards a Freightliner cascadia with the DD15 engine and DT12 transmission. I find that automatics have much better fuel economy then manual on trucks.
MrWill1985 If you don’t buy your trailer you’re stupid and yes you have to have your own trailer and Must haveauthority Per be under someone else’s authority to drive for Uber
Here's why autonomous trucks and cars are decades away if not longer: in order for the whole idea to work you would need to refit every road in America with sensor technology to make sure everything stays on track AND you would have to remove all human drivers from the road to ensure the safety of people riding in the autonomous vehicles. A single human driver would be naturally slower to react and generally more prone to causing accidents than the programs running everyone else around and thus putting them in danger.
those are not Typical of Landstar loads!! it looks as if no matter how much the load is paying....Uber is trying to Cap You Around 1.70 a mile!! As For NY loads.....once you pay tolls that 3.00 a mile load goes to 2 bucks!! those numbers suck homie!! just letting you know the real
jblackwell4679 what uber is doing is trying to convince they are cutting out the middle man when they are the middle man. those look like typical rates a broker would give.
Great information bro but don't be quick to start promoting uber.... Let time pass and let the smoke clear... Everything is attractive in the beginning. Just be careful about going hard...
Honestly, I drove for uber when the pay was similar to the taxi rate @ around $2.40 a mile it's now $.65 / mile. And they don't care about you at all. Must a bias statement, but If I have to choose between uber and another broker, I'll pick the other broker any given day. That's my opinion.
People : is lamentable those rates ... But pay close attn cause this will be de game changer .... Just wait and see for 2 more years ... Uber will dominate truck industry
keep it coming lol. I'm only 23 with 2 years experience I'm watching videos like yours for more info

Hey man do you think as one owner with fresh authority is good start with Uber ?
do you need a DOT# ? will a 1500 pick up truck work?
Thank you bro!!!
I have a question for ya: When the app says van it means straight truck, right?
Do they have cargo van loads ? Do you need any authority for the load board?
Is this uber freight extended to van or expeditors
Does UF allow you to take several loads at one time?
Do you need a USDOT number or mc number for this??
I have a cargo van and I want to start doing Uber Frates do I need a DOT number?
What type of gps you use to get around?
is that what your taking home or are they cutting from that rate cause they all look at 1.50 a mile
What’s the qualifications to transport Uber freight? How big of a truck do I have to have? Can I rent a truck?
Hey is it the price correct for every deliverie?
Do you supply the trailer or do they supply the trailer
Great video man
+Money mike Slick will
Yes Sir!
What do you think about the pricing @onerich
Great rates! Do you have to be a o/o with your own trailer??
Are you using a reefer? If so what size?
Not a trucker but this interesting...so the rates u see is what they pay u??? How much does uber get? And this Is not just for big truckers right??? Thanks!!!

Are those prices before or after there commission????

So glad you put this information, these old school blue collar dudes will have to embrace change and technology.
+TroyP20
They don't have a choice at this point... I mean they do embrace it or retire...
Do they have instant pay?
Are these sprinter van rates?
and still needs to give them 25% off every load that you do ?

Hey I would really appreciate some help... do you have to load or unload any of the freight ever?? Thanks!
Never
what's there cut for Uber?
So if it's a typical load board, this is freight instead of deadhead to get you to your regular freight.
Hello sir how do you get paid when u drop off
... uber is a lose lose deal for the owners of vehicles...
How much it cost a month to use this. I'm looking to buy a truck and trailer next yr by summer and I want to use multiple sources. I feel like using more than one maybe about 3 you could really stretch your options
It’s free
do you need your own authority to run these loads
Bro! Those rates are garbage! You will go out of business with those rates! It's produce season and look on those rates, what's going to happen when the season is finish? JCLS
Those were dry van rates... They had one reefer load coming out of Fl that wasn't paying ok...But I agree can't survive off those rates
JCLS Yea those rates are trash especially if they are reefer but it is Florida
That other big strapper said there rates were about right. Guess he's been hauling containers.
For reals I thought i was the only one seeing that lol..pay is trash..and I'm not even a ower opt....lol
They are very low and will go lower
Uber work for Cargo Vand Loads?
Can u use a sprinter van on there
Not sure if I want to give Uber my banking information (for bank deposits)
Uber will encourage everyone to buy a truck and join the app and then drop the rates to a point where you are barely breaking even...
👏👏👏👏👏👏 in no time
Lmao, rates went up ma G
have you tried UberX similar rates. If youre giving it a try i guess you need some luck
Your phone at 3% bruh lol im listening but I want to continue to listen. #FL Bound

“Dry van trailer “ google it
Do you have to have a semi type truck to drive for uber freight?
Yes
When it say Van is do they mean cargo vans?
Semi - dry van
Thank you!!!

Are you able to make a living off this app? Also how many loads do you do per day on avg?
What are the chances this shipper hasn't posted his load on multiple boards? I used to get a lot of that taxi driving
What about Accessorial charges such as detention time, lay over, driver assists etc.......
Not really!!! If the did they would Write in the description section... I️ have one more video to post about my overall conclusion of Uber Freight... So stay tune

You’re definitely misinformed on automatics as opposed to manual the only way you’re getting better gas economy is if you drive 55 mph
You go bro you doing great u I'm a different mind set keep at it
What % does uber take from you bc those prices are same as a uberlux and uberxl and ubersuv.
Never did business with them
Great video brother. (:
There’s some loads on there that are a big ripoff one of em was .35 a mile average
do you know if they except new independent contractors or how long do you have to have your authority
N.o Joe You got to have your own authority

Thanks
Hey what's up. Look up uber vs TLC NYC

Luis Garcia
Just putting the info out there...
One Rich 🤔, probably free uber ride..😂
Lol
Do you half to have a cdl?
RJ You have to have a CDL truck ,trailer and your own authority
how many days it take to get paid??
+P Fitzpatrick
Seven days...
Can you negotiate the rates on Uber freight??
Yes

I just graduated with my bachelor's and I am interested in this.
Man I thought my phone was dead lol
is that rate cash in yo pocket or before Uber sticks it to you..i mean rates suck to begin with..imagine if they take 25 % like the cars..omg
They will take control of trucking industry
I highly doubt it based off what I know about the trucking Industry...
when uber start doing freight?
+El Lobo
Week or two ago...

I think you can they always have partial load but it’s not many!!!
thanks bro

Do you have sprinter van or truck
No
Do yo have to have to own a trailer?
You can least
Great information bro but don't be quick to start promoting uber.... Let time pass and let the smoke clear... Everything is attractive in the beginning. Just be careful about going hard...
+semaj d-you are exactly correct
Is this for traveling ?
Whatever you want it to be
so its basically traveling but in a car?
uber freight is good to get out a jam but I can't see them being a sole resource.
Honestly, I drove for uber when the pay was similar to the taxi rate @ around $2.40 a mile it's now $.65 / mile. And they don't care about you at all. Must a bias statement, but If I have to choose between uber and another broker, I'll pick the other broker any given day. That's my opinion.
do they has rating stuff. that shit is nasty

How is a van going to carry that much weight
