  • When freshwater from the ocean mixes with saltwater from the sea, a visible layer known as a halocline is created. Hidden deep in this forest in the Caribbean, this rare phenomenon can be seen to its full effect.

That is absolutely stunning. Thanks for capturing it so that more people can see it

Awesome! Those layers of water make me think of extra terrestrial underground bodies of water. Other worlds would probably have layers of fluid or a liquid something, like the salt/fresh water layers we have.

I wish these videos where less dramatic. The science is cool enough there's no need to add all this unnecessary drama to videos.

Added drama being how the narrator is super enthusiastic? I'm not attacking you, I'm just interested in what you said. I guess the narration does make it seem more dramatic, but other than that, I don't see added drama. Am I blind?

With the right training and equipment, I'm sure these guys are at least as safe as you are driving to the grocery store.

These caves are being destroyed by the construction of the "Mayan Train" which has injected concrete into the caves to make the ground more solid, and huge columns have been drilled to support the elevated tracks.
All that when this Government lied saying not a single tree would be cut. But once they found out the initial route would be too complicated they went and drew a straight line across the jungle.

That's extremely toxic if you're a fish. I've seen that in other videos where it looked identical and there were a ton of mussels around it in a circle. If a fish got into it they'd go into shock and die. Might have been on this channel too, I think that video took place in the Arctic?

iirc that was a brine pool. Same effect though just a much higher concentration of salt.

I think that's pretty obvious. Any fool who attempts cave diving without knowledge removes themself from the gene pool. Darwin 101.
