Actually being a stormtrooper that dies onscreen is already embarrassing, so getting killed by a blind guy ain't so bad in comparison. Boba Fett is the real loser when it comes to death by blind people in Star Wars, since he was accidentally killed by a blind man.
"My father, he had me study with a different sensei every year" which explains why she sucks at fighting so much, she lacked a teacher that could actually follow her progress and keep her on track and correct her mistakes. Would you be able to learn something complex if you had a different teacher every goddamn year?
Yeah, that line was dumb. I know it was supposed to imply that she mastered each sensei's teachings each year, but that's impossible unless the teachers really had nothing of value to teach.

You are definitely missing out. Marvel has a whole street level TV show universe inside the avengers one and Daredevil was the first and best of all the four series. Definitely worth a watch.
P.s it has 2 seasons one of which also has kingpin as the antagonist but he is done really well.

Fun fact: they actually had a blind guy consult them on certain behaviors Matt should have. Also, the thing he sleeps in is a sensory deprivation chamber because his senses are too strong he would never be able to sleep otherwise because he would hear everything in the city. Also, Jennifer Garner really did learn to twirl the sai and she used the real ones most of the time instead of the plastic ones. And Matt's dad was the dad in Firestarter.

In the comics, Matt learned how to use his blindness as a weapon from a man called Stick. In this movie he kinda just does it, which seems very unbelievable.
Yeah. Instead, they wait to show Stick in the Elektra movie, where he was played by Terence Stamp(aka General Zod), who was easily the best part of that film.
But it’s super easy. Barely an inconvenience to explain. So the movie can happen

Incidentally, there's one thing which can make this movie even worse - And that's the Netflix Daredevil series. That series is so good, that now we've all seen how goddamn awesome Daredevil can be when he's done right, when you look back to this movie it's automatically worse. It's the difference between being forced to eat dung, and being forced to eat dung after you've had a really nice chocolate pudding.

Zombiewithabowtie between a Matt Murdock handled realistically, other characters like Foggy Nelson given a lot of depth, fight very well done and Wilson Fisk being a gray villain(mention to his relation with Weasley), Daredevil Netflix is indeed far superior to the movie.

Well it wouldn't be the first time marvel pointlessly retconned stuff like this.
For example apparently the night before Bruce Banner became the Hulk Tony and Bruce had a drunk argument about how Bruce is nothing without him.
They even make Tony modify the Gamma bomb which is heavily implied to have created the hulk.

I'll say this: Daredevil had two Evanescence songs back-to-back, which were in my opinion the best choices this movie made.

the first time i listened Evanescence was because of this movie, yeah when "bring me to life" started to play i said "damn that's a nice song ¿wich band is this? and fortunately a friend that was watching the movie with me and other friends told that it was Evanescence. maybe the only thing i can be gratefull to this movie.
I got into Evanescence because I heard the song in the movie. Good thing the band outlived this corny film

2:27, well Critic to be fair a large part of Daredevil's character is his Catholic faith. One of his best stories 'Born Again' (ironically titled after a Protestant practice) had almost every chapter come from words used in the Catholic faith, and featured several panels of art inspired by iconic works of Renaissance art depicting religious figures.
but it was handled poorly in the movie the Netflix show did it a helluva lot better than this movie ever did
The Accountant is what Daredevil should've been. Think about it: a guy who's disability is his greatest attitude, his heightened ability makes it hard for him to sleep

To be fair being blind impacts Daredevil, it's a great cover, and it terms of combat if anything it gives him an EDGE people who try to impair sight or rely on stealth are useless against him, being blind is essentially his power.

Why the hell do movies seem to encourage being a stalker like at 10:30? Love has NEVER worked like that. It's just a good way to get yourself arrested and, Ironically, potentially blinded...by mace.
I think it's to show how mentally damaged Matt Murdock is, because this movie is edgy and everything. He's creepy, sleeps in a coffin, chews pills, murders people (at first).
And it can work if you're exceptionally cool and attractive. Although, you are correct, this behaviour should not be encouraged at all.

Good news: a director's cut was eventually released that turned Daredevil into a kickass movie!!! Bad news: it was rated R, which kept its main audience (kids) from seeing it.

You know what, that's a good point. What is it with movies making their female characters close to their fathers but completely disregarding their mothers? They're always either dead or never mentioned....
It wasn't the Movie that made it up. The comics do that and not just to female characters. One of those, I have to be told everything to understand everything people? Like how Spider-Man in Ultimate Spider-Man does. Saying, This Harry Ozborne, my best friend and blah, blah, blah. 90's Spider-Man cartoon either had their origin shown, or nothing at all. You had look him or her up in comic books. Like my mom used to tell me, If you want to know more about something, look it up. Early 90's didn't have the Internet. Now that almost everyone does, people are being told everything and they don't have to look hardly anything up.

Don’t worry, he is happy and free from his pain up in heaven, Micheal Clarke Duncan was an immensely talented and charismatic actor, we’ll miss him, but he will always be with us.
I’ll give this film one thing, it introduced my parents (rest my dad’s soul) to one of my favorite bands of all time, Evanescence, which would lead them to introduce Evanescence to me.

Doug, you misunderstand Daredevil. HE REALLY IS BLIND. But he has what is called, "radar sense". He can't see what's there but he knows and hears whats there.
L.S.A i think he goes on what the movie shows: which is that his radar sense is so powerful its like not only can he still see, but see even better z
So in a way, he's Bat Man.
Also although he says it doesn't being blind does affect his character because it makes his identity as Daredevil more secret and and it also adds to the stakes if the people close to him learn his secret

L.S.A I think he meant that the film portrayed his blindness in a bad way. Sure he lost his sight but he regained it and in a manner it’s the exact same thing. I’m just going off what I see here, but the movies radar sense isn’t bringing anything new to the table. Think about avatar the last air bender if you’ve seen it. Toph is a blind girl, who sees things by vibrations in the earth. We see how she sees as well as the pros and downfalls/weaknesses of this ability. What do we see here? It’s like they just replaced his eyeballs with slightly different eyeballs. Again I’m going off the video, I’m sure it’s better in the show or comics
I hope Nostalgia Critic reviews Elektra at some point too. That movie was awful.

Daredevil, especially the Director's cut, is one of my most beloved movies. Both versions are great from start to finish. And I don't even mind the old lady scene.

Electric Nachos lol. I thought the same when I saw it for the first time but hearing it from another person is too funny.
The Angst is basically the personification of DC lately: Dark, brooding, depressing, anti-fun, and full of edgy my-parents-are-dead writing.
Yeah, it's older than fire, I know, but the tragic backstory business has been Flanderized recently to high levels of annoyance. Never mind these superhero trailers (yes, you too Marvel) adding ominous children singing some slowed-down cover of a public domain(?) soundtrack. Cue "Oh, this thing again..."
Karnera Mythos you think that's annoying? The trailers revealing way too mych is way more obnoxious. Example: spiderman homecoming, sony did commercials for it and they showed a scene to keep us in suspense and wanting to see it, which was the spidey holding the ferry together. It was a cool cliffhanger trailer moment to hold us over. But then, sony SPOILED how it played out by showing us HOW it got resolved. These people and more need to just learn to show just enough to get us interested by only showing enough to leave suspense and cliffhang to keep us excited for it. Stuff like that reveal erases it

It's quite nice to see that Affleck turned out to be a pretty awesome Batman, and Daredevil got a really cool adaptation in the form of TV streaming.

I think this Daredevil movie was campy but also corny. the only good thing about it was the Kingpin who was played by Michael Clarke Duncan, God rest his soul. I didn't even watch the spinoff movie Elektra. but I'm glad that Daredevil got the respect it deserved as a Netflix original series and Vincent D'Onofrio was awesome as Fisk.

Now, I know that Menorahs generally have a different design, but he is holding A CANDLE-HOLDER WITH THE CAPACITY FOR SEVEN CANDLES IN A CHURCH. Ryan Ozog Yeah, I have to agree. I thoroughly enjoyed Arrow during Season 2, but they keep redoing the same fundamental themes and stories. That show's failure to innovate is proving horrendously boring. :(
Doesn't help the fact that CW's DC shows that are creative and innovative, Super Girl, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, make Arrow look even worse.
