I have some frogs but never caught anything with them. I live in an apartment building with a lake in back. There is no docks or top water weeds. I don't own a car to go anywhere else to try plus, diabetes has me in a condition where I'm not stable walking or standing. I'm now going fishing either in my power wheelchair or my four wheel scooter on the observation deck so I don't fall in the lake. I'm now limited to Bluegill, I use to fish for cats but the lake only has Flat heads and they are too big for me to land them from the deck. The last Flat head I caught before my disability was 30lbs two years ago. I still love watching your channel.

Fishing for gills with ultralight tackle is a blast. I use 2lb test line with ultra light jigs!! Best wishes to you!

Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit czcams.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.

That’s what I love most about 1Rod .He never switched up on us and stayed true to himself unlike a lot of youtubers up that blow up and completely change up by flexing all their CZcams money in a lot less wholesome video you can tell they’re not the same and care less but not 1Rod still doing the same great videos since day one

Tells us to work the frog slow, realizes the frustration of working a frog and starts workings it way too fast. Gets a spider on him causing him to slow down the retrieve and bam! Fish on.

Aside from the technique on how to cast and work the bait. The most important thing I got from 1rod's videos is that he shows you that you need to cover as much water as you can. Sometimes you're just a couple of feet away from catching yourself next Bass.

That first fish at the first pond was an interesting catch. You said that the key is to let your bait soak and very slowly walk it but if you notice, that fish hit when you started walking it more aggressively and quickly Topwater is a trip because it can change day today and pond to pond how they want it presented.

Caught my first bass on a frog, yesterday. This is because i finally learned when and where to use one (I never had even a strike, before). But yeaterday I had strikes frequently... When they strike, should I pause before setting the hook?

Straight braid 50-65lb, it floats and most frogs have super thick hooks that take a lot to set properly
