Story of Green Tara | The Pāramitā Light Princess's Vow | Master Miao Jing

Why Tara appear in female body? The previous life of Green Tara, she was Pāramitā Light Princess in the Collective Light Kingdom. Pāramitā Light Princess initialized her vow to her followers in the Kingdom. She will always rebirth as female body even until she attain her Buddhahood. This sharing given by Ven. "Summary of Story of Tara"
Immeasurable eons ago, there was a world named "Collective Light Kingdom" and a princess named "Pāramitā Light " who revered the Three Jewels -- Buddha, Dharma and Sangha. She made the following great vow to her followers in her Kingdom :
From the present world to the destruction of this world and the destruction of the void realm, I will take on the form of a woman to deliver sentient beings. This is why she is called "Tara" (meaning Mother of Salvation). The name is heard throughout the ten directions, and it is given by the Buddhas.
“Origin of Tara” Buddhist Text
It documented that the Guan Yin Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva tried to deliver the teachings to benefit the sentient beings but the beings were still confused and did not understand, sinking into the sea of suffering and death, the cycle of Samsara. The Guan Yin Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva shed tears out of compassion for sentient beings, and the tears turned into lotus flowers and then transformed into the Green Tara and White Tara. Green Tara said to Avalokiteśvara, "Don't be worried and troubled. I have vowed to be your helper. Although the sentient beings are immeasurable, my vow is also immeasurable.” This is the origin of the name of Green Tara.

It's wonderful to see women and nuns making a come back over the past 20 years despite so much sexism and persecution and abuse. I have heard tibetans say that in this era there would be many emanations of Tara. interesting also that in Ireland there is the sacred green Hill of Tara, and goddess Brigid, the divine feminine (from 2023, Feb 1st will be Brigid's Day, the divine feminine in ireland, public holiday). The nuns I met and worked with in the Himalaya were some of the most amazing people I have met on this planet, so much potential too. Keep going girls! (and guys)

Hello and thank you for sharing this story of the green tara. Guan Yin and the green tara have been present with me throughout my journey of healing. Guan Yin is a sport present in my friend Amy's life and Amy showed me the ways of this compassionate deity. For many years I have been healing my inner child and reconnecting with nature as my original mother in this physical realm. I have recently received the news that I shall become a mother in the next year and a half. It is so easy to grow fearful and to doubt that I can be a mother, especially when looking back into the past. But I have a spirit of great valor and strength, and I am always willing to learn a new thing. I looked up this video to learn more about being a compassionate soul so that when my children arrive they always feel the presence of thee Primordial Spirit of Love through me and their father. I thank you for sharing these stories not only on my behalf but on behalf of the people out there who have been shown a tainted love who are looking for a better way. I give thanks and look forward to connecting with the green tara in my daily practices. Aho!
