- Check out Al's gorgeous, custom built, 8 foot long peninsula reef tank. Just hitting the ripe age of 6 years old, this is one very nicely grown in system.
A pure mixed reef with some stunning softies, LPS and SPS plus an beautiful assortment of fish - this is one reef not to be missed.
Nice tank setup!

Yeah just dosing Red Sea elements
Great Video Sam. Awesome tank as well. I recently stumbled on your Idiot proof reef tank series as well, is that tank still up and running? As a new reefer, I'd be keen to hear what you've done with it and how it's developed over the years. Best regards,
welcome aboard mate! That tank is not still running, the plan was to transport it to the office with me, but then COVID hit and I also changed jobs :)
I ended up selling it onto someone who was starting out in reefing and was about to re-purchase all the items we'd covered. The tank was running great too!
Beautiful tank! All I can see for ph is co2 media .I'm thinking to do the same, I'm wondering if it was a big improve with the ph? Great video thanks Sam!
I find it gives a small boost, but is short lived. It doesn’t hurt though :)
Those lights probably cost more than my car 😅
haha yeah, is a high end setup that is for sure!
Hi Al,
Beautiful tank!
I spotted an Aiptasia in one of Sam’s shots, what do you use to control them in your reef?
Yes was mentioned in the video, a few have popped up since Al lost his copperband. He did not mention how he plans to tackle them in future though…
Yeah thanks, posted and then continued on with the video and heard him mention the copperband 👍
Hoping he had a magic cure.
@clarkernucci ah yeah fair enough. Oh mate, we’d all love a miracle cure!!
Anyone got the link to the first video?

Refugium + gfo😂 I can’t understand the people who 0 in the chemistry 😂
Whilst I understand they are both targeting similar things, they do it very differently and I personally have benefitted well from having both GFO and a refugium on my tank. Sometimes theory doesn't equate to logic in reefing!
But by all means, there is nothing stopping one from using just one or the other!
@@ParkersReef maybe you have a reason
I’d like to think we all have a reason for doing what we do with our reef tanks. There isn’t one right way to achieve success :)
