Been over it 4 times over the last 10 yrs on a motorcycle and without question, its worth it. One of the most beautiful drives in the US, maybe the world.
Great video! Done it and we did it by accident. We left NE Yellowstone and needed a route to go to Deadwood SD, so Apple Map took us on Beartooth Highway. So surprised and thrilled. It is one of the prettiest drives I have been on in the US. That includes HWY 1 on California, HWY 180 through Kings Canyon in California, and Going to the Sun Road in Glacier National Park. Going to do Beartooth again next summer.
Even on interstates in U.S.u might notice gates, especially Wyoming, Montana .Beartooth had them also. The DOT closes roads sometimes because plows cant keep up with a freak blizzard ,even in summer. U were lucky the rain/ sleet started when u were near the end of the pass, not at 10000 feet! There was a blizzard up there. Betcha the gates were closed when u got done.been there, drove that, done that!
Even though this road is well maintained, it isn’t super wide. RV drivers please stay on your side of the road, not down the middle. Also, you can currently watch videos of MT DOT clearing their side in preparation for opening in a couple of weeks. Wish NPS was able to do the same thing for the WY side.
Definitely worth it. Going there next month! My favorite view is actually one that wasn’t shown in the video, looking south and west as you start descending from the top going the opposite direction as they did.

What's really cool is to watch when they plow that road open each Spring! The amount of snow up there is mind blowing!!!
Living in Ohio it's not close by, but I have done it twice on my motorcycle. Both times it was sunny with puffy clouds. 👍👍
I ride it every year on motorcycle. It is AWESOME!
Just drove this 5 days ago for the 4th time. Magnificent every time.

Great job with the photography. I also liked the altitude in the left corner. I'm planning on going this year.
It's totally worth driving and 100× better on a motorcycle
If Charles Keralt says its a GO, it's a GO !!
Who is he?
Another fantastic video
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love this video👍
a beautiful road indeed...... but it is farrr surpassed by Going To The Sun Road.
Is it really more beautiful than Trail Ridge Road?
Is Beartooth Pass worth driving? Yes, absolutely. I’ve done it twice.
