      Being ligther and having less mass makes acceleration faster that's just law's of physics which means he can strike faster than people twice he's weight.. but that's not enough advantage to win figths you need precision power and timing which is athletic intelligence,, which many have when there is nothing at stake no risk kaoklai Seems to master this under risky pressure . another advantage when being so much ligther is that your muscles needs less oxygen than he's opponents which makes him have double the stamina and can use that to minimize the risk's taken. Muay Thai is also the perfect counter striking style,, that's pretty much what it's about counter the counter etc making your opponent do mistakes which you capitalize on.. so just because kaoklai was successful in that doesn't mean anyone else can do the same he had what it takes to flip the table to he's advantage k1 is perfect for doing that if he would stand he's ground keeping posture to win like you win in Muay Thai it would not work. Kaoklai wisely went to the place he could turn all the factors to he's advantage that's a master while David in the Goliath story used a distance weapon pretty much the closest thing to a hand cannon at the time slinging a Rock in the head of the opponent throwing or slinging Rock's at the opponent i would consider coward and cheating so Kaoklai is both morally and mortally superior to David and would smack the shit out of David if it was no Rock's or weapons in the ring

      Very debatable, but I'll say Yi long vs hong Mon choi like 5'8 kickboxer vs 7'2 kickboxer. He's also had multiple great fights with bukawk benmachek , the muay Thai champion from Thailand. won once and lost twice. And Muay Thai is great, tho it's not so much the art itself thats important as it is the individual artist.

    • @willtherealrustyschacklefo3812
      @willtherealrustyschacklefo3812 Před 2 lety +1

      Also different arts are better designed for different people. Not all are just gonna be easily used by anyone, and Muay Thai is one that is much more effective for smaller people than it would be for some 300 pound heavyweight(tbh fighting at any level as a whole is more in favor of smaller people, the bigger you are the more you are fighting against yourself, less speed/flexibility endurance ECT.) Smaller person also means a smaller faster moving less open target to hit, than say a 300pound man no matter the style used. You just have to be smart like this individual. and use your head along with your training, and not just as a battering ram lol.

At that time Mo looked near unstoppable, a bowling ball of power, he wasn't just knocking people out, he was knocking the best kickboxers in the world totally stiff (TIMBER!!!!), they were out before they hit the floor. I was genuinely afraid for Kaoklai's safety, then when he landed that kick I went nuts.

    Thanks a lot for this emotional tribute.
    You brought me some wonderful memories about this legendary fighter whom i consider the best Thai to ever stepped in K1 rings. Forget Buakaw who played in his own league in K1 Max, but Kaoklai challenged the mammouths in entertaining style.
    I remember watching the tournament live on 2004 with my late father, and we were shocked by the huge difference of weight between him and his opponents, but his dancing style confused them and stripped them out from their advantage.
    With mighty mo, we literally dropped our jaws along with the commentators. The KO was phenomenal, beautifully executed with great strength to the point the replay showed his tibia bent in contact with Mo's head.
    The night ended in scandal against Mosachi whom i never liked as a fighter being favoured very often, which is shameful for the prestigious K1 to tolerate.
    Kaoklai will remain my all-time favourite underdog.

      Yea i dont get it...kaoklai has been training with elbows and knees since he was 8 years old but why does he never use elbows and knees in K-1 fights?

    Cool Video!!! I was 16 when i watched K1 and I was blown away by this Thai-Boxer!!! Almost every Apponent was at least 50 Pounds heavier or one head bigger. It was unreal to watch!! Remy Bonjasky is my Alltime K1 Favourite.

    Love Kaoklai so intense with Mo! also loved Rambaa Somdej . I fought twice for Songchai promoter , once got to spar with Rambaa I couldn't bend down to even crap for 2 days from leg kicks. Wonder what ever happened to Silipathai ? He was from Jockey as well and was slick
