  • I set off to explore 2 area's I've never been to before and find 2 land marks, which I never found.
The Widden Valley was stunning as it was full of horse studs and rich farm lands. The surrounding mountains were rugged and stunning to look at. I went looking for the Oakleigh Bridge but without a phone holder on my bike I think I turned around a little early, so it's a good reason to go back.
Baerami Valley wasn't as spectacular with the mountains was a bit wider than Widden Valley. Here I was looking for the Shale Oil Mining Picnic Area with the hope of being able to explore some ruins. The road had a locked gate not long after the tar finished and gravel road started. About 150 - 200m beyond the gate I could see what looked like a collapsing causeway. I think I only had a few kilometres to go. So again I leave empty handed. I'll try another day in a few months.

Great content. Where are you riding? West of the Hunter Valley or further north west of there out near Gloucester.

Yes the Widden Valley has some stunning mountains encasing it. I'll definitely be going back. I've found a trail heading off further west taking you past a hut and onto the Nullo Mountain and on to Rylstone which I'll have to explore. Here's a link to that ride. maps.app.goo.gl/fJReC3B8JH22reSeA

@@FlatBrokeAdventures Thanks heaps. Have you got the remap for the low rev throttle jerkiness problem yet? I hear they have made one that is out now.

@@user-fg7jk9cq1b No I haven't done it yet I was going to do it over the last couple of day but kept forgetting to do it. I believe its as easy to do. You just connect the bike to you phone via the app and find the update and hit download, then it downloads and installs it for you. I've heard they did a pretty good job with it.

@@FlatBrokeAdventures Yes. One owner I chatted with said he never really thought it an issue until he got the update and now realises just how much better it is now.
