reeheeheeheeheehee
Never would have guessed that title, nice concept
Nice Videos I'm a big fan I could probably fix that Psx for you
The power button on the psx is jammed or the wire that connects it to the motherboard is ripped apart it's a common problem with psx consoles and that's why it's so expensive to get one with no problems
Never played ORF2 but I do have the first one ..🤗
"Logitech is usually pretty good" said the submarine divers...
BOOM!
😂
Got a Logitech wireless controller for OG Xbox
Felt comfortable but the dpad sucked and both sticks had drift
@@YoungMrBluestickdrift a problem everyone still gets from time to time
Hey now, that controller was probably the last component on board to fail.
Fun Fact: if you boot up the PS2, the blocks determine the save data on your memory card.
I know that and it's really cool
I knew that but that’s cool
i knew that and it's not cool, just ok.
@@hazy33 It is cool.
I don't know of any other system that increases blocks and block tallness, based on your save data. And I'm sure there are some that made something similar, but Sony's PS2 is known for it. And nobody else ever did that after.
10:08 controller inputs don't work in the BIOS while the PS1 is loading a game so that's actually normal
Going to say that myself! But, you forgot to mention that the light on that Memory Card means it has multiple pages for saves, if you press Select R1 I believe, it can switch, it's double the size from the looks on it to normal PlayStation Memory Cards, I've dealt with them myself in the past, I have one with FOUR pages of saves!
logitech controller is a pc/xbox360 controller and its supports two types of protocol calls xinput and dinput. the ps3 using the dinput protocol calls for there controllers thats why it works somewhat on the ps3.
it's a pc only controller.
@@zaphod77 I'll suppose he meant that it's a PC Controller, with the Xbox 360 Design. Which it is.
But I don't know for sure what he means, so yeah.
@@appleleptiker it has an dinput/xinput switch on it. but it still doesn't work on a 360, even in xinput mode.
True story, While perusing a Goodwill outlet store, snagged a working (very clean) Xbox OG. I did the usual preventative maintenance, cleaned the laser, cleared the dust, replaced the thermal paste, pulled the failed clock chip, and eventually added a mod chip. Total cost: $5 for the console, $20 for the modchip, $25. Oh, and the reason it was in the outlet store? It had a blinking orange light, which was determined to be due to it not having an AV cable plugged in. Apparently they thought it was like the RROD that plagued the later 360s.
Oh, and for $10, got a Duke controller in excellent condition. I like the Duke, but then I also liked the 3D controller for the Saturn and the Dreamcast controller. What can I say, I have big hands and a big honeycomb taste. Duke controller big? Yeah yeah yeah, it's not small, no no no.
i love the little gifts they send with your purchase anytime you buy something
that Logitech Controller is the one they used on that submarine that imploded (just different color) yikes, lol
It's a generic USB Controller, not specific to the PS3. I bought this exact one many years ago for my PC.
The Performance PS1 memory card is multiple memory cards in one, with the button swapping memory banks
Oo that’s pretty cool
A few months ago while i was at my local Goodwill, someone left their PS2 memory cards inside some PS2 game cases and ive picked them up and i checked and see which cubes they have on the startup
WhooooopaDeee Dooooo!!
This is a fun series I can't wait to see evolve! I would like to see you tackle more classic consoles like Sega Saturn and PS Vitas
That button on the memory card switches to another memory card. Basically 2 in one. I have the same one except it’s a transparent red color.
Looks like the ps2 bundle was pieced together, that lools like a launch model system, i believe that bundle would of been a 5000x series?
I remember the PS2 Combo Pack, alot of my friends had it and possibly might still have it today.
You can sell the Playstation Memory Cards for like $8-$9 each.
The PSX looks like it was ahead of its time.
A 3rd party Logitech Controller? Just don't use it to operate a Submersible 😉.
💀💀💀that controller💀💀💀
Its a standard PC Logitech controller. Not the best pair for PS3, but theres nothing wrong with it. Ive been using the wireless version for 10 years.
Brings back lots of memories! That is also the exact PS2 combo I got for Christmas. :') Christmas 2003 for me. Came with Offroad Fury and the network adapter. My folks got it for me from Costco! lol Thank you for this video!
Persona 4 and Kingdom Hearts. Whoever owned that Ps2 knew whats up.. also clearly a dog owner. Definitely a cool dude.
11:16 the memory card with the light on it is a double card. When you press the button it switches between 2 different sides of the cards. So its a 16MB card instead of 8MB
The switch light has an issue in the i2c circuit, test components around the m92 chip, if the caps are shorted take the cap off, test the pads, if pads are still shorting with no cap then it’s the m92 that’s possibly bad. Also before attempting any work, try both sides of the usb c cable and try cleaning the port with ipa
I love all the series is that you make. I don’t know if there’s more but I’ve seen Texas, Hampton Hall and gamer garbage
8:00 submarine controller
I remember my PS1 games when I was a kid, I definitely never took care of my discs. Those could get pretty destroyed and still work. I remember using stuff like toothpaste to try and polish the plastic. Polishing with a coffee filter and the grainy tooth paste, washing it off then and then butter. Yes butter. Putting butter on a coffee filter and polishing it onto the disc would make them work. When I was VERY young... I would lick the discs and clean them with my t shirt. Pretty sure I wasn't the only one to do that. Lol
I vaguely remember this bundle when I was younger - atv offroad fury 2 had the best soundtrack too
That PS1 memory card brings back memories. I used to have one. When you push the button it essentially gives you a second memory card iirc
The best part about this is the fact it came with the physical game, not a freaking slip with the code
love the new series :))
You know what the weirdest thing is. my parents actually got me the network disc for the PlayStation 2 but the weirdest thing is they never bothered to buy me the network adapter so I basically had it for no reason then
YOOO NEW SERIES LESS GOOOOO
1st PS2 had no connectivity to the Internet. That Block on the rear is the "Modem" for Internet-Connection. You had to buy it extra. To be exact its an LAN-Adapter.
It also helps PS1 to complete flip the console over for it to read PS1 disks. That was fix to a common problem back in the day.
I still have my ps2 with the network drive, hdd, and top mounted secondary hdd extension port. Was my main method of playing FF11 back in the day. Feels like a beast to pick up 😂
Great videos as always
I’m not sure who created the thumbnail but the eBay edition PS2 (er, TS2) was a nice touch. 😁
back when my dad was still alive atv fury 2 was his favorite game and i remember coming home and him asking me if i wanted to play it with him wish i could do that again
that controller is a Logitech F310 I bought one from Walmart some years back and have enjoyed it until it eventually couldn't be used anymore, sort of wish to get another but I do wish to have it modified with rumble
You can't sadly. What you want would be the F510, wired with rumble, but it's been discontinued for a while. So the next closest thing would be the F710, which also has rumble, but it's wireless.
@@SomeAngryGuy1997 k
I'm kinda surprised the clock battery was dead because the one in my PS2 is still going and it's the PS2 I got when I was a kid
I had one of those Logitech controllers when I was like 13 and couldn't afford and actual Xbox 360 controller, I got it off amazon for about $17 at the time and it is probably the cheapest-feeling controller I have ever used in my life
Forgot to say, without the vibration motors it feels too cheap due to being too lightweight.
The PS2 is one of the best game consoles ever and it's also one of my most favorites too! I still have an old PS2 which is over 20 years old already and it still works fine so far as far as I know even though the clock battery on my PS2 is also dead now.
That controller has A B Y X on it and not PS buttons. Definitely a pc controller. Almost looks like the one that controlled that DIY sub that blew up down under lol
Honestly I was just confused why it worked at all on the ps3 lol
It's the F310. The F710's cheaper, wired sibling without vibration.
And yes, it was the F710 that they used.
Wth a logitech working with ps3 I bought that controller for my PC the center button does work with steam and the mode button actually switches the Dpad and analog so for games that only use dpad or playing some old games you can switch so you can actually use the analog.
First ps1 memory card(the one with lights) was a multicard, you click some button combination to switch between the cards, i have a different version, it has the equivalent of 8 cards on it. Im assuming the one you had has 2 as there were 2 lights xD
The Logitech controller the came with the PS3 is a PC video game controller. I have the same exact one. I never knew it works on the PS3.
On the ps2 battery may not be dead. I had a simaler issue, and I just had to set the time, and the orbs were floating, btw and the psx I had I simmaler issue with my ps2 probly use diffrant power suply
Oh man….this combo was mine too! Nostalgia city!
I'm surprised the memory cards work, all but one of mine couldn't be read on my playstation after i moved, which sucked as i had some custom music i made in Music 2000 as well! xD
On the psx you have the av cables in the wrong spot you had them plugged into the upper ports they plug into the lower ports for out put.
I had the same ps2 bundle. The only thing different was my network adapter came on it. To be honest I didn't know it was an add on until my mind 20s. I'm 33 now. I thought they all had it.
Cool man, like the idea of gamer garbage! Keep it up
Yea i never seen a scph 30001 r network bundle that console and box are 3 years apart from when they were made apart from each other
I LOVE ATV Offroad Fury 2! I had the PS2 with that game bundle. My dad bought it for himself but never played it. So I did. I played ATV Offroad Fury 2 forever on that PS2!
The ds owners were probably twins. I have twin brothers and they always had matching stuff like that.
Nice video!
Season 3 of Texas Load, lets go!
I LOVE videos like this!
I loving the series this is sooo 😎
I know it doesn’t matter that much, since rf isn’t good anyway. But I was googling some stuff about the PSX, and stumbled upon someone trying to use its RF and saying it’s not working.Everyone in the comments gave suggestions on what to try and no one even knew what was really going on. Almost half of the Nintendo community knows why it doesn’t work tho. Don’t know why it would bother me tho.
Was a little confused about the power converter it works fine without one.
That back slot is where I used to hide my weed
The switch either has a bad m92t36 or p13usb chip the m92t36 is a power management chip and the p13usb is a charging power control chip
bro i swear this mans the best
The PSX is 100V so if you use 110V or anything other than tha you might fry it, but it can also use a different video output
I swear, older consoles and the accessories for PS2 and PS1 were nearly impossible to break. You'd have to beat the ever living crap out of those controllers. I used to swing my controller around by the cord and accidentally smack it on the wall... ☠️ Still worked. All of the PS2 stuff I picked up while I was collecting still works. Got a PS1 from a junk shop for 10$. It just needed the piece to hold the disc on. Old consoles are the best.
The switch light looked like it was Flashed that would give the error code so basically it’s bricked unless you can jailbreak it
Isn't that controller the one that they used in that crappy submarine?
Nope, but close. This is the F310, wired with no rumble. What those fools used was the F710, wireless with rumble. A good controller, provided you have spare batteries, and aren't insane enough to use it to control a nasty deathtrap that will turn you to ketchup because you skimped out on materials that were crucial to withstand massive depths, and the pressure those would cause. Maybe firing the engineers wasn't such a good idea after all.
Great video
Gamer Garbage❤
Great video 😆
I've Never Seen Like This. Very insane PS2 Console.
that switch lite didn’t deserve a 10/10 imo, it was pretty salvageable and repairable. Probably deserves an 8 or a 9.
What a great idea Wiseguy, but where's the ice cream in this joint!
Amazing video
I guessed the name right on ur community post!
8:30 the home button will not work on third party controllers. Not even a ps4 or ps5 controller.
That logitech controller is the same one I had for the my first pc controller when I was first getting into pc gaming. Absolute terrible controller, but you make do with what you have. I still keep it as a sorta keepsake but I'm never using that thing again.
The white line cable is what the PS1 came with. Also the green controller is a PS1 controller.
I'd seriously be interested in the PSX and that cubeworld game if you plan on selling either
Yeah I’ll likely be selling them on my website. It might be a while until I get them listed though
That's green ps1 controller threw me back :D
Logitech controllers for both PC and ps3 it was great back in the day but it has issues it works with some games and some it dont
The psx might be using a different video output
You could be right. I honestly gave it literally 1 chance because I was not in a good mood 😂 I didn’t troubleshoot at all. I just heard the buzzing, saw it not turn on, saw the listing said for parts, and I gave up lol
Yeah, Japanese people usually take great care of their products; especially ones as expensive as a PSX. It working isn't guaranteed, but I'd be more surprised if it didn't than if it did.
@@jrob0021when you powered it on it powered itself off so it's a power issue and that's why a psx that works fine is so hard to find in a good price most of them are expensive
I had a PSX that did exactly the same thing. Replaced it with a modern power supply and it worked fine.
@@jrob0021 That PSX would make a great fix video if you ever wanted to get it to work, if not I would love to take it off your hands lol
Jacob is always looking hard for the pictures on consoles
6:12 $130 down the drain 😢
*next video*
Jacob: so I got my new video editor to buy some consoles
it's not a ps3 controller on the third one. if you plug in pretty much any controller, it'll work
i mean it works on almost everything since it has a Xinput & DirectInput switch
PS1 discs were always tanks. Even the most scratched stuff would work
I have this exact bundle
i guessed game garage for the series i was so cloes
The thumbnail, LOL. XD
ps1 controller with analog sticks is still relevant you can use it for PC gaming if you buy a DONGLE for it.
The logitech controller is just a $20 junk one from Walmart, it's not Junk when it works but after 2-4 months the sticks start drifting since it's so cheap
It may last longer on a console that's not used as much but using it as a daily driver for Fortnite or Apex Legends isnt ideal from my experience but a regular xbox one controller has been lasting me a few years now
How did that drift?? To my knowledge, it has the same sticks as the F710, and I've had 2 over the last 7 years, no drift on either with heavy use. I've only seen ONE original PS4 controller drift in person.
@@SomeAngryGuy1997 the logitech is cheaply made, I went through multiple of them I'm never buying those again
It is not an original quality PS4 controller, another thing I don't recommend is those cheap $25 PowerA Xbox one controllers they last 6 months then start drifting worse and worse after that but if you get a $40-50 xbox one controller I havnt had any issues yet and it's been a few years I've had the same controller
I'm not rough with my controllers, I actually take good care of them and put them away when I'm done with them I've always taken care of my stuff
7:57-7:59 the titan begs to differ
OMG Joe's KC, Amazing
ATV Off Road Fury 2 was my jam!
What resurfacing machine to you have/use?
Jacob: "Last save was in 2012. That's pretty recent for a PS2."
Me in 2024: Puts down PS2 controller to make this comment
Give the editor a raise 💯
But have him cut his Hair!!
4:06 I have and I do ❤
PS2 Combo Pack Nice.😎😎😎
Bro got enough memory cards to store an entire CD game on them 💀🤣
Can you repair the broken consoles, clean them up and sell them in the next video for the series ? Thanks brother
The manual and console have completely opposite serial numbers. Not the original console for the box, unfortunately.
