Harry, 19:47 what the crap are you doing? Use the digger to shape the landing into a better curve, then pat it down with the shovel. Also, whilst you have the digger for a week, dig an idea for where you want the line to go after this jump, plan your route through the quarry, it will save you so much more effort in the long run!

To add to this. When you need to make jumps and landings wider or taller. Cut V's into the areas you want to build up and you will waste less time piling up and loosing half the bucket down to the bottom

Some things to consider:
You’re gonna need to buy that digger hahaha
You’ll need a water source. The jumps need to be wetted and shaped on hot days. Maybe build a pond or get some of those water storage cube things. You could even find a way to collect rain water to put in the storage.
Speaking of rain water; you’ll need to think about drainage. This can quickly turn into a complete mud pit
Yeah you deffo need to sieve the dirt to get the rocks out. However, the rocks will help build a strong base. You could even supply garden centres with big rocks etc (you’ll be surprised)
You should maybe keep in mind about starting at one end and making a long continuous run. It seems you started in the middle?
Maybe source one of those tarmac plate flatter things. Or a mini steamroller? This will speed things up.
Number each episode and make a playlist! This shit is like TV. People will want to start at episode 1 and watch them all to see the progression
This is the best move you’ve made in years and the potential here is massive. Matt Jones has had huge success with The Playground and what you’re doing here could be far larger than that. Half of the year is gonna be really shit but this project will draw people in and eventually pay for itself easily and attract video sponsors.
Maybe build a little hut? A toilet, BBQ, seating area?
Make sure the emergency services can get there easily.
People are going to try find this place. You may want to think about a perimeter/security.
Carpet the lips to the jumps. Especially when you know you’re not going to be there for a while.
Set up Timelapse tripods at the top of the mini cliffs you have. Will make a crazy good angle for b-roll

Bro if you turn the digger just fully left 14 times it unscrews the cab, also use your blader more to push all the soil on floor to clear your area and move all the piles.
Looking sick bro, I would just get as much scraped with the blade while you got the digger as you can plus makes huge piles of soil for projects.

Just a quick tip, u should get a shovel that isn’t completely flat but has a slight curve in it so u can slide the shovel when shaping

Why not plan the builds so it’s not just random things …make it a flow to be a better bike park. Plan the jumps and lines. Keep a flow going. Random set up is just like random tats.

@harrymain get a tilt bucket, with those you can actually shape the jumps with the digger, Helps with compacting transitions aswell! You just come in with a flathead shovel and a rake to finish them off. Cheers dude, from 🇨🇦 🫡

u could do a lot of the shaping with the grading/ditching bucket mate the long one and the get the stuff u cant with the machine by shovel one with teeth is ure digging bucket would get a lot done in 7 days with that wee digger and u ca by a rake attachment mate looks sick tho harry

Use the blade on the digger to move the material around and also use the machine to track in the ramps as you build them will compact them alot better

Yo harry make pile track up it spread it wide and repeat till it’s as big as you want it cut the sides off wack it in with a shovel. Also make a wooden frame with mech in it to siv the rocks out over a wheelbarrow and do the top layers looking sick and as much as on camera the first lip looks 3ft high it probably 5ft bloody fisheye haha p.s if you want a wider jump go a foot or two in dig in pull to the side pat down repeat then it will be perfect 👌🏻 overall your get there bro 👊🏻

Get an IBC tank up there ona level pallet an chop the top off, set some posts around it 2support a tarp with a rocks in the middle an a hole a couple of foot over the tank like an upside down umbrella 2catch rainwater 4watering the jumps.

From what i have seen mates do with a 1.5 tnescavator and a few 5tn for a few weeks of work as professional trail builders for MTB knock out jump park pretty quick - get a few more machines in there a 10tn would be optimal with a 5tn and a couple little 1.5tn to do all the track works and be nimble on the angles

I’d fill in the hole next to the roll in just Incase of fallers from the drop off.
Best practice is to get a dumper truck too, then make a quarry away from the lines
That way you can just dump loads of great dirt where ya need it, then shape with digger.

Looks like the prime dirt is the mounds , get a dumper truck ( rent one ) and dig out the hills transport the dirt you dig out , use the extra soil that should be better quality dirt to cover the lower level stuff .
Find your best dirt mounds and mine the dirt to build jumps on the rocky areas ???

But maybe test out other locations in your area/site see if there is a primo dirt mountain to dig out and move

I feel like this is going to be a quarry full of features rather than a bike park, unless there’s a big hill you haven’t shown yet there doesn’t appear to be enough hill for full trails 🤷♂️ will be cool when you’ve got a bunch of stuff in there just be careful with drainage as your roll in might fill with weather at the bottom where you’ve dug down! Had loads of issues wherever we dug beneath ground level at our dirt jumps over lockdown

@@harrymain yeah man we had so many issues with that, if there’s any clay in the material it will just hold water! We had to pump the water out of our berm every time it rained which was a ball ache but with some well thought out drainage channels you should be able to fix it! its that time of the week lads, roll a sharp J and relax! *edit* so while i was smoking lad i had an opifany hahaa, why dont you put a platform just before the top drop in, so move the wooden ramp back 6 feet, build a flat platform just before the drop so you can ride up the ramp over the platfrom and drop off that into the hill
