In this weeks episode, I FINALLY get to work on the boat by attacking the hull with hull cleaner. I then move to buffing the boat with 3M Super Duty rubbing compound.

Here's one tap for dealing with your large compound container. You can go to Walmart Target even your local grocery store they sell empty bottles for you to fill up with ketchup or mustard or whatever condiment you might want to put in one. I buy supplies and large containers to always have it on hand and save money when buying it. I keep a few empty bottles around for new product but I keep my compound in one of the bottles and it works great. You can even cut the tip to make more come out when you squeeze but I pretty much leave it where it is and some of them even have a plastic tip to put on the end of the bottle to keep the content in the bottle fresh.
I've enjoyed watching you with this project. I'm on the fence right now if I want to start a project like this. That's how I came across your original video Google searching and it came up on CZcams. Keep up the great work can't wait to see when it's all done.

Looking good buddy! I dig the gold flake faded to pink. In the car restoration world a lot of people are fans of patina. As long as the boat still has clear over the flake (not deteriorated from UV) it can be brought back to a shine. Great project and nice website!

Nice job. I have a restored Ranger 320V that I bought from an older man that did all the work. I’ll bet he watched your videos. I know he did the trailer the same way you did yours. Hope there will be a part 10. I really enjoyed watching the other parts.

Try wet sanding with 1200 grit on the topsides then coarse buff then glaze buff.

Unless you clear coat it the buffing work will not last. It will look for little while then oxidize and become full again.

Looks good. Did you debate wet sanding it prior to buffing?

Yea. But one advice from a friend who's knowledgeable on this said it wasnt worth it.

Sorry to tell you... but see the original colour off teh boat where the trolling motor was mounted. If u wet sanded it would have went to original colour. All u did was shine up the sun faded gelcoat! I just did me and it went back to factory colour!

At 4:22 you said this stuff is absolutely amazing . What is the stuff called ?

The sides of the boat will come back nicely because they don't take a continued direct shot of ultraviolet sunlight... The top decks, not so much... What...??? You really can't come up with an empty Dawn dishwashing liquid or shampoo bottle...??? Geesh...!
