      Some of my earlier videos are not the best. I am still learning but they are getting better. I am very familiar with Frascati. I had an apartment there for a cope of months earlier this year. The train runs every hour into Rome costs about 2 euros and takes about 30 minutes. It is a fun place to base from if you have a car as you can explore they all the towns around there but parking is a major pain and driving is a bit stressful. If you do not have a car give Trastevere a try. The early mornings before 10am and the evenings in Rome are not too crowded and awesome even in peak season. If you are in Frascati you will miss those. If you are there during off peak season the city is much more manageable. If in Rome for multiple days, escape a day trip to Frascati or Spoleto. Just my thoughts. I hope you have.a great trip.

    • @RozierRoma
      @RozierRoma  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Italians have gelato down, and Romans are no exception. These days it is so hard to taste the difference between one gelato and the next. Now it’s become more about the presentation and experience that differentiates one Gelateria from the next. I did not mention any Gialateria specifically in Trastevere but there are plenty. My wife has her favorite too called Giolitti located a little north of the pantheon. sometimes when we’re in the area we have to walk over there just to get her favorite gelato but I personally don’t see a big difference.

    I'm told by different sources that Testaccio is where many of the very best restaurants are located, where the locals like to frequent. Trestevere is more tourist oriented. I spent my final day of my first trip to Rome exploring that neighborhood and was somewhat underwhelmed. Too many fellow Americans and it was graffitiland! Wish I had picked Monti instead.

One option is to base your trip from Tivoli just outside of Rome. Hotels and Airbnb from 70 euros plus a great city and you can take the train into Rome when you want. Trastevere seems like a good location, but too much graffiti is not as welcoming… we decided to try Ludovisi, near the US Embassy… I hope it’s a good location…

      Thanks for watching the video. Near the US Embassy are some very nice places but it’s not very centrally located but there are buses and taxis that you can get that can help you get around Rome. If you don’t like the graffiti, I suggest you take a look at Campo de Fiori, if it’s not too late

      Near the Embassy there are some nice upscale hotels, and more sterile environment a little less authentic but still nice

    I have lived in Rome and I disagree with you! Good luck with your show

      Not everyone likes vanilla, but it is the number one selling ice cream in the world. Seriously though, if you have an opinion, let me know what you think is better area for visiting tourists?
