    I still do not understand,, i use ansys 17. i made my own geometry (same dimension w/ u) and follow all your instruction, but on the solution part it called an unknown error at solver output -_- .. can some 1 help me

    Your explanation is beyond appreciation. Can you please elaborate a little over each step that you undertake. It would be helpful if I may know the reason why Augmented Lagrange or any other step is chosen. If there is any separate video that explains all these, kindly let me know as this will help me clear my basics in Ansys.

    Thanks for the tutorial. Please give a little bit of overview before choosing an option. For example, why you choose augmented Lagrange, and behavior as asymmetric, what is pinball region etc etc. Also i would request you to make video on step control settings such as initial substeps/max and min substeps and on what basis we choose the value.
    Thanks in advance.

    Thank you for this usefull video. Why did you use stiff plate at the free end instead of applying just -5 mm deformation in z direction directly on to surface of the cyclinder's free end?

    Hello, could you maybe advice what analysis should be chosen for a plastic disc (PA6 GF20) loaded by 6.7tonnes downwards to the floor and the other part would be a concrete plate (representing the floor) and I am only interested the deformation and whether this part is strong enough to bear the load. I do not know the displacements so I would only use the force.

    Thank you sir, it is perfect example, but I have two questions;
    1) I don't understand why it can reach only 4.7335 mm even thought 5 mm displacement is applied
    2) How do you define stress and strain values while doing nonlinear part?

    First of all Thanks for tutorials, they are well explained. they help me to understand some steps which I needed in my work.
    I'm doing my work on static & Explicit Dynamics Analysis of metal foam. My workstation is taking so much time while solving model.I am using ANSYS 15.0 & workstation has 24 cpu's which I learned to use but still I didn't understand how to use Physical memory properly. During solving model it uses Autodyn Solver and CPU usages is full but memory usages only 10-15%.
    Please upload a tutorial about setting for distributed computing or anything which can clear my doubt about using full performance of a single workstation

    Hi, and thanks for the effort making this tutorial. Can you explain why you did not assemble and mate the two model to be coincident in the CAD? Does ansys require this extra step?
    Many thanks
    Regards

      To differentiate two bodies the gap was provided. If they are in touch condition then also no problem, but in the tree you should be able to see two different bodies.
