Can we fry the garlic ginger chilly on pan first (before frying tomatoes) - instead of burning them in fire directly.
Wd it take more time if i use the pan ?

All other videos show half cut tomatoes being fried in one / 2 tsp oil. But i prefer yr method of whole steam frying. That way, the juice of tomatoes dont get stuck / evaporated in vessel.
Just wanted to know - if it changed the taste in any way

No, it's actually a very good idea for chutney as the juice doesn't get evaporated and gives it a good texture for chutney
