tomato garlic chutney recipe | roasted lahsun tamatar ki chutney | tomato & garlic chutney with detailed photo and video recipe. perhaps one of the flavoured and tasty chutney condiment recipe made with ripe tomatoes, chilli & garlic. it is an ideal multipurpose side dish for choice of rice recipes, but not limited to it and can be served with chapati and roti too. unlike other traditional chutney recipes, this chutney does not have coconut used and also no grounding as it is prepared by mashing the roasted veggies.
tomato garlic chutney recipe | lahsun tamatar ki chutney | tomato & garlic chutney with step by step photo and video recipe. tomato and garlic based chutney recipes are very common across india and are mainly used for morning breakfast. it is generally made by mixing with other vegetables like onion and ginger and grounded to smooth paste. but this recipe is very unique where tomato, garlic and chilli is roasted directly on flame and mashed to coarse paste as chutney or bharta.

Sometimes green chillies explode while roasting and it's highly dangerous. As a solution make slits in chillies before roasting.

North East traditional chutney. We enhance the taste by adding raw mustard oil. Sometimes we replace garlic by chopped ginger or chopped onions or replace coriander leaves with serrated coriander leaves. Or u can add roasted red dry chilies, the flavour is more than roasted green chilies. For non-veg version chutney we add roasted salted sun-dried fish or fermented fish. We prepare eggplant chutney in the same manner roast n mash. I won't call this village chutney but it is more of traditional chutney.
