1973 begins with Dame Shirley Bassey as cover girl of Listen Easy mag, Black Stars Mag story and Easy Listening mag cover.The release of single Never, Never, Never and appearing on the Russell Harty Plus show and Top Of The Pops before a tour of Germany and the USA. Co Hosting the Mike Douglas Show again for a week, the release of single Make The World A Little Younger and LP Never, Never, Never. A Stint at Las Vegas Hilton before a UK tour. the year ends with the release of Live At Carnegie Hall and Xmas in Lugano and an interview to promote the new tv special for 1974.

I have been collecting Dame Shirley for over 45 years and have digitised my entire collection by date from newspapers, magazines, photos, programs, sheet music and of course the music.
I hope this series of videos will help tell Dame Shirley's story in a lineal way for fans new and old.
As a child whenever I found a photo of Dame Shirley I would wonder what the story behind the picture was, and I still do. I would cut out news clippings and put together multiple scrapbooks,
then the internet came along and an explosion of knowledge. Now I know some of the stories behind many of the photos and hope you get enjoyment in finding these stories too.
If you have an image from this year that I haven't included, please consider scanning it and sharing it. If you have a newspaper clipping, review or any other item that would expand the story please let me know. Dating items is a tricky process but I have tried as best I can to get the timeline correct.

Each of these songs become definitive versions with Shirley vocals. All of them beautiful... The world can wait but will never apear again such complete artist as this Dame. A era definitively gone by...
