We have done two kitchens over the past couple of years. A down-to-the-studs remodel, and a new home build. For the remodel, the cabinet shop subbed out the install and the installer did not read the shop drawings and installed the farm sink for a 36" countertop height. However, the job had a build-up on the cabinets and a 37-5/8" countertop height. The installer tried to repair the mistake, but it did not look right. As the owner we were put in a position of feeling really bad, but had to insist on a replacement sink base cabinet. We don't know who "paid" for it, but we paid in terms of a delayed project finish. We lost our scheduled window with the floor installer and the impacts snowballed. So your point about communication between the cabinet fabricator and the installer is paramount.

When installing, which cabinet do you start with? Center of the wall? Corners? Next to appliances? Tall?

How do you attach toe kicks to the legs?

Richelieu also lists steel clips on their site, which you can screw to the toe kick so it can clip to the leg.

Personal preference for me is putting a screw into the leg in between the top of the lock and bottom of the cabinet pushing the toekick tight to the floor
