I think the tools are traditional, but can speak about the techniques since I have no idea!
Some of the Inks he uses ar traditional Arabic mixes, the technique is a bit modern though.
if u come to marrakesh you cold get some courses of arabic calligraphy with me, you could become an arabic calligrapher for sure.

Great video and very beautiful work. But why don’t you tell to others what paper and ink do you use when they ask? The most important for a calligrapher is the talent... not material used!
So لا تبخل على الناس معرفة الادوات المستعملة يا رجل.
For those who want to know what kind of material he uses, you could take simple glossy paper and water color ink with a flat piece of wood (wood shims for example) or anything else. Most important is your talent and creativity.
Important other thing to know is that the color of ink after drying, will be less shiny and brightness, as you see on this video... so don’t search as I did, for months, for inks that appears like that after drying.
Thanks, although I probably won't get into calligraphy, I know it is a form of art and art is extremely difficult. It isn't talent or skill, and about the wisdom your hands carry from years of experience and patience.
