    Dear prof. Yaakov, thank you. All your videos are of outstanding quality, but this presentation was even better. Im doing EMC design in automotive for a living and basically EVERY sentence you have said describes some issue that already happened either in the field or during the design validations. Anyway in best case resulting "only" in tenths of thousand dolars investigations. Your videos should play in infinite loop on every HW department :) Thank you for the content and wish you marry Christmas and happy new year!

    I consider this one of your best videos because it's relatively short, to the point, without mathematical formulas making it more complicated.

      Thanks. In as much that I a proponent of the intuitive approach, sometimes you can't escape mathematical formulas😊

    Your videos teach some of the same techniques I learned from working with people in aerospace that do power electronics. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

    This is on point! Can you please direct me to the video where you had discussed "Why bootstrap is not good enough especially in GaN"? Thanks for your outstanding lectures.

      Too complicated. You can reach my video on a certain subjects by typing in CZcams search window: "sam ben-yaakov subject"

    In the connecting to power supply slide, what generates the ac noise signal (VG) between two grounds?

    • @sambenyaakov
      @sambenyaakov  Před 3 lety

      The fact that the tow ground connection are not at the same point and that there is a voltage drop in a ground plane

    problems?!
    1. The high frequencies would get past most LDOs,
    assume you ignore that
    2. since LDOs should also have input and output capacitors, you can consider it as another dc/dc, which can have the same problem as the original DC/DC

    • @sambenyaakov
      @sambenyaakov  Před 3 lety +1

      Well, I had assumed that people will pick up the torch from here.. The objective of the LDO is to handle the DC. The AC can be easily attenuated by ferrite bead or inductor,

    • @bm830810
      @bm830810 Před 3 lety

      @Fred Garvin nothing is immune to high frequencies mate, LDO's PSRR is good till certain frequencies.

    • @bm830810
      @bm830810 Před 3 lety

      @Fred Garvin 1. capacitance leakage between input and output, LDOs have much larger leakage at HF
      2. control loop frequency of LDO is limited,
      the control loop of LDO which rejects Power supply variations is useless above certain frequency
