Great to see you back, I've got my popcorn, I'm ready for the ride!
Awesome! Good to see you again!
Nice one can’t wait for the videos to start 👍
Thanks Damian. I’m off away for a bit but as soon as I’m back a mega video will be coming
looking forward to more of this
Good to see you back!
Great video! I’m looking forward to following your progress on it. I’ve got a 97 Disco 1 I’m rebuilding. The Discovery 1s don’t get much love, but I think they’re the last of the “old school” Land Rovers.
Couldn’t agree more. These early discoveries really are the perfect bridge between bumpy agricultural defender and soft luscious Range Rover! Ticks all my boxes. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment
My father purchased a Tdi in the same colour as yours in early 1990. It was a great vehicle and with the best engine of all time in a Land Rover in both reliability and mpg. Thanks for sharing😀
Do you know if it’s still on the road? Sounds like a rare old beast. Thanks for watching! And taking the time to comment.
No, sadly it was wrecked a few years ago by a later owner. I agret to day that I didn’t bought it from my father, but at that time I had a Range Rover Classic and a 110 high cap who needed my attention😉
@@robertdrum6857 well it sounds like you had your hands full anyway haha!
Stunning disco. That switch under the bonnet looked like a battery isolator like the red key cut off switch. I’m fitting one the same to your old Range Rover for a second battery
Ah gotcha! Must be what it is. It was only the first time I’d noticed it. How’s the old Range Rover coming along?
@@Automotiveolie slowly lol. Waiting on a chassis to arrive for the strip down of my blue one then I can prep the 71 chassis ready to drop the body on it. Pretty much being held up then it’s just putting it altogether again :)
@@dd4x4 wicked. Sounds like it’s well under way!
I like that a lot!
It’s a lovely old landrover. I’ll be very tempted to keep it and let the mrs scoot around in it
@@Automotiveolie I had an H reg one many years ago. I'm very tempted to find one like it.
@@davidbrodie5044 you should. They’re great cars and starting to gain some traction with value too.
Got my flat cap, a cream cheese sandwich and roll of tissues ready for the next vid 😗
Best ask the mrs first.
My Brother has the older Discovery, think its a 300tdi, not sure but he has spent years preserving it. Of course it has a huge modified front bumper, jack up kit and wheels like monster max lol.
They’re such awesome versatile
Motors. You can go to town on these old rigs!
@@Automotiveolie Oh he has lol. Its been usefull. There a good work hos. Good off road bus. 👌
@@Supercarlsunday I had an 1985 2 door Range Rover v8 full off road spec for a year or so was absolutely unstoppable off road!
@@Automotiveolie Sounds amazing fun. I've only had one range rover myself. It was the tdv8. I sold it before It failed and bought an XC90..
@@Supercarlsunday can’t bash a Volvo. Had plenty of literally a tank
