  • This is my first attempt at a knitting podcast and if you like it, I’d be happy to do more. I talk about my history of knitting, finished objects, wips, and plans for future knitting.

It’s so great to see you in that sweater, and with a knitting podcast! Seriously, I was squeeling a little with glee when you said “knitting podcast.”
Oh my gosh, the baby sock is SO precious. ❤❤❤
Ugh, the lost video experience is heartbreaking. So much work and time and energy! I’m glad you at least got a beautiful sweater out of it, haha!

Aww I love the Halloween Town movies. I need to rewatch them this October.
Ooh the yellow cardigan for your grand daughter is beautiful! I love the color so much. What a special garment. I hope it is cherished.

I can totally relate to feeling afraid, or lacking confidence to push oneself, especially when it takes so much work just to get started in the first place! I only just recently had a break through with a shawl I’ve been working on. Felt really good to talk myself out of giving up, or the voices in my head saying, “you can’t do this, it’s not your level, stick to socks…” Anyway, best of luck and I look forward to seeing what you push yourself to do.

Thanks Alicia. I love watching your knitting journey too. You are so much more adventurous than I was in the beginning. You’ve inspired me a lot. 😁

Loved this video! Since I taught myself in May of this year, I’ve made a lot of socks and accessories. Hoping to venture into garments soon. I’m 100% in the boat of acrylics for kid knits. Every yarn has its place and people who diss acrylic are just gross. Acrylic is so good for things that will inevitably get washed over and over again. I love it for kids and also gifts I’ve made for people in the past (I’ve crocheted for ~20 years). It’s so much easier to give someone something made with acrylic yarn because they can wash it without a list of instructions that I know they won’t follow anyway had it been made with wool. I’m hoping to start the No Frills sweater by petite knit this winter. I’d love it if you did a knit along video on that sweater so we can do it together 😊

I’m so glad you liked my video. 😁 And I’ll get the pattern and maybe that’ll be the next one. Thank you for the suggestion!

I hope this doesn’t mean you will stop making journaling and pen videos. I love those. As for knitting, and I am not a knitter as I have arthritis in my hands, I believe you are certainly intelligent enough for complicated patterns, you just need the confidence in yourself. You can do it!

Not at all. I’ve got a ton of journaling and pen videos in the works. I’m hoping to sit down and film today once I get my girls homeschool work finished and my bread pumpkin cinnamon bread in the oven. 😁😁

I loved your podcast…I’ve been meaning to watch and knit the Cumulus Blouse thanks to your video. My biggest learning curve, is learning a new sweater construction, I need a visual to watch. I would love to knit a Vest or a Drop down shoulder sweater. If your looking for a Cardigan, might I suggest the Wildhorse by Jessica McDonald. I haven’t knit it yet, it’s in my queue, her patterns are really well written. I’ve also wanted to knit the Take Your Time Slipover by Caidree. So many things to knit😁 As far as yarn goes, Acrylic has its place and whatever you can afford is perfect 👏🏻

Thank you for taking the time to make these videos and I would like another knit along if you have time.I have a lot of patterns but you have to make the one you enjoy and I would be happy to knit along with you.Your tutorial on the cumulus tee was awesome ,in fact the best for what I need.I want to ask you something without being offensive.About 6 months ago a store here in Boston closed ,the owners were old ,almost a hundred, husband and wife, great people. They liquidated the inventory and I got yarn some for me and some to donate .I still have some left ,in fact too much for me ,but it might be in different colors and some of the yarn is not too soft ,such as cascade 200.If you do not mind I can send you some since I do not have 10 hands to knit it all.I started knitting before Covid after I retired and I am addicted.I have a hard time understanding patterns and trust me it is not a matter of intelligence .The patterns should be very clear for everybody including the beginners. So,please consider my offer ,it would make me so happy to share what yarn I have.

Love your sweater! I'm putting that pattern on my list. I've been to the shop on St. Simons. I didn't know what you were referring to at first it's SIGH-mons, btw. :)
