Fort Condor is one of the major mini-games located in Chapter 4 in the Junon region. While optional you do need to complete all four levels to get the protorelic for the region.
The game itself is a basic tower defense style game where you need to drop the right units down to counter the enemy. Every level of Fort Condor is fixed and it largely comes down to trial and error until you find the correct timing and placement.
If you find this process tedious and just want to move on with your life, here is no commentary guide on how to beat every Fort Condor level for you to follow along. Use the timestamps as needed.

I hate fort condor with a passion.
They really needed to not put a time limit on this. It feels awful to have completely destroyed all the enemy troops and be wailing on the main tpwer with a ton of base damage units and still lose because it took 3 seconds too long. I dont know what they were thinking.
Yup I keep timing out too. literally 2 more seconds and I would've won probably 20 times in a row

Same deal as the Remake as a whole: stuff you with so much BS before you implode and scream "wait, this is just Kingdom Hearts minus Disney and darkness".

This one requires to look at the troops, they have a limited supply of use. 😮
Also Gilgamesh cheats. In Integrade you won when you had more bases left when the time ran out. But against Gilgamesh you actually have to destroy the main Fort in the time limit. And that just makes it stressful.
And also even enemies have a limited supply of troops, but You must defeat them in order to complete the quest.
I was very close in the second match with 1:99 seconds left on the clock! but I finished it. 😉
My piece of advice: Select offense. Go with Barret and Tifa as your hero units. Send in Elite Vanguards first, followed by Elite Enforcers, a Cleric, and regular Rangers from the get-go. This should allow you to summon Tifa. You'll see right away how quickly you'll overrun your opponent, first by destroying their defense and laying waste to their one tower, enabling you to quickly summon Tifa. Also, don't forget to throw in an extra cleric. Believe me, it took a few tries.

It’s the timer that is the big enemy here. Beating them in the time limit… so many times I have a bunch of my guys hitting it, but fall short by seconds.
Used to like this mini game, this made me hate it.
Yeah, they made the timer too short, so it's constant stress. Not fun.
Difficultly Matters Very Much Everyone!! I got destroyed over 10x on lvl 4 on Normal diff. Switched to Easy…beat it first time. Then just switched it back to normal afterwards.

Thank you! Changing the difficulty level makes such a difference I never would’ve thought of doing that. I was starting to get quite frustrated. Just wanted to get past these so that I could continue with the storyline in Junon.

Your strat, much like every other "guide" I've tried following, failed me at the third stage. This minigame is probably the worst part of this game.
If you're still doing FC, just set the difficulty to easy. It's not worth playing this on normal.

I’ve done your exact strategy for fort condor 2 stage and lost 5 times in a row. I hate how hard this is and you have to do it for the proto relic it’s so frustrating

i kinda got stuck and then realized the strategy of like...letting one of the sides go at one point. Like, if you're making progress moving in on the right lane, start going all out there. Put both your hero units in that lane one to clear the mobs and one to attack their outposts if possible. You'll sacrifice the left lane, but then it's just a race to take down one outpost and the boss one, before they take yours out. That has been the best way for me so far.

Same. Had to call it quits. Can’t waste hours of life for a trophy. Grinding is one thing, but poorly constructed mini games that are designed to waste time so as to make trophies “worth it”, are different. I’m fine with missing out on Gilgamesh

The game is good but i hate this mini game.
This mini game is frustrating in the worst way. its not frustrating because you lack skill, but because its unfair. At least in the first game you could outspend your way out of problems.
This is the laziest video guide I've ever seen. You couldn't even bother to slow down your troop selections, much less do full audio.
This minigame is dog tr*sh. Without the time limit it might be better.

Followed this exact strategy up until the part where he summoned Barrett… then i kind of just went rogue and put whatever units were available, placed the trebuchet at the middle area, then summoned tifa right in the boss’s face. Won with 18 seconds left. More time than I have seen on anyone’s video!

Fort Condor was better in the original. And it was an optional quest. The only good thing about it was that at the end, you got the Phoenix Materia, which made all the B.S. worth it.

this guide helped me finish Level 4, mechanic surely better in Intergrade, in Rebirth this minigame is utter BS
Over 10 rounds later, this guide was a lifesaver.
Followed this and couldn't do it still, but got a better understanding of it, and then did my own thing beat it so easily with almost 50 seconds to spare.

As a 39yr old dad whose favorite game is the original FF7 since its release, and can confidently say they didn’t need to include this lol. I know full well some of y’all loved this part, but I never did. And now it’s just way harder with the crazy time constraints. I hate to do it, but I’m about as I switch over to easy for this BS. I just wanna play the game.
I was stuck here for an hour (stage 4) but managed to beat it, i use cloud and tifa hero then level 4 formation.

For anyone struggling against Giga in Rounds 3 and 4, just set gameplay to Easy in the Settings Menu. It nerfs Fort Condor to and makes it easier to beat.
I had a feeling this was tied to the game difficulty. Dynamic makes round 3 nearly impossible even following this guide.

This mini game was fun until the 3rd mission. It had a major drop off in difficulty. It feels more like luck than strategy to me as I've gotten so close with my own strat, then I try someone else's strat that won and I don't even get close

I did all four of them, but now I have to do them all on hard mode in order to really finish the intel :( Hard mode is too hard for me, how do I get good at this?

I love this game.
I absolutely love in Intergrade. So many different pieces and boards. But this time, you're given the most basic against a very OP opponent. Not really a style to the play- just plug and pray.
Level 2 worked better with Cloud and Tifa with defense focused build

Putting the game into easy mode seems to drastically decreases the difficulty. Was playing in dynamic mode before and lost 3 times on the 2 round before switching to easy mode.
Loving Rebirth so far, its how gaming should be, you get so much content for $70... excellent!!!!

I HATE this mini game with a burning passion. I was so relieved when I beat the first level because it tricks you into thinking you’re done… but nope! Two more levels of this bs game. This is by far my least favorite mini game and I’ve beaten most of the game by now. They should get rid of the time limit. That’s what makes it the worst. Many times ive been close to winning just for the timer to end and I have to start over. It’s super frustrating and not fun at all.
I beat the final one with 0.21 seconds left on the dam clock

Ok so I'm not crazy in thinking this feels very different from Intergrade... they made it not as fun or rewarding for being smart or aggressive/high risk high reward : ( no abilities and no units that push the line. And even when i have units at the end of the line, I'm still not allowed to summon new units there. And i was literally a single hit away from a win on an EMPTY FIELD and still lost cuz of time limit. Who tf thought this was good...
I hated fort condor at first but I have a lot of fun with it now.
