I don't have a uni so I'll be purchasing this one because I like the light pink transparent back/buttons, but I agree-- the face plate is ugly, could've done so much more instead of just bows everywhere. I also don't really like the reddish pink, almost looks like tomato red in some photos :s but the previous tama colors aren't that great either imo. If I already had a Tamagotchi Uni I probably would skip on this and just buy the DLC, but since I don't I will get this. Supposedly the Angel and Monster are coming soon after so I think a lot of people will be waiting for those and skipping this one!
You're right, I bet a lot of people are holding out for the Angel and Monster versions to see what they're like. I'm really curious about those! I agree the Tama's haven't been that great as far as colours go. They did better with the blue colouring but still I think they could do more. It is nice that the Sanrio is pink, although a bit of a lighter pink would've also been nice to see.
I wish we could raise Sanrio characters on this :(
I think it’ll be like the other Tamaverse tickets where if you use certain items from the Tamaverse then you can raise that character. But it doesn’t look like you get for example Hello Kitty, but Mametchi as Hello Kitty. So I guess they’ll be a cross between the two.
Me personally I really loved it, the faceplate full of HK bows and the pink shell is just irresistible, so it was a total yes for me ❤ + I’m a real Sanrio fan, I pre ordered it on Amazon Japan and I ended up paying like 87 US shipping included, so I thought it was a good deal, anyway I’m so excited I just can’t wait ❤❤

I believe the Tamaverse ticket to Sanrioland is included with this Uni, so you don’t need to pay extra.
You're right - which is great, so if you get the device you don't need to buy a ticket. It's also nice that you don't need the device to just buy a ticket. 😊

I like the shell. Not too interested in the game play tho.if someone was selling one for 40$ I'll buy it, or if the sold it more cheaper and it's not working I would buy it and buy the ticket for my normal uni :3
Ahh yeah that’s a fair point. I do like the idea of having a dedicated Uni just to run the Sanrio content, instead of having to add it to one of my current devices running a different Tamaverse ticket, but it is expensive. And the tickets are way cheaper on their own if you did want to eventually play this version. It’s nice to at least have that option. 😊
I wonder if the american release will come with the lanyard like the Japanese one does :o
Has it been announced that the japanese Uni will come with the lanyard? I haven't seen anything about that
I don’t believe the Japanese release includes the lanyard, just photos to show that you can use it with one of the lanyards. A Sanrio themed one would be nice! 🙂🍓
@@mmsruby17 In the JYW website, the stock photo for their preorder page has a lanyard in the picture, but I'm not sure if it come within the package or has to be bought separately 🤔

Why is there a physical tamaverse ticket
I assume that a physical ticket is included only because it has a unique code printed on it for accessing the Sanrio Puroland. So that it’s included with the Sanrio Tama. Otherwise, if you order on the website you just receive an email with a unique code.
i don't personally mind the faceplate. its kinda cute! i'm really disappointed in the roster though. the characters are the weakest part of the uni imo. I don't get why tamagotchi never gives us a growth chart of plain sanrio characters (e.g. gudetama baby, hello kitty in the mametchi slot, pompurin in the kuchipatchi slot, etc.)
I agree, the Tama itself is pretty cute, but it would be nice to actually have the characters. Especially the growth version, I hadn’t thought about that - that would be really cool to have baby and toddler versions of them! 🍓🍰🙂
