I will be honest I’ve never watched Drew’s show before now, but the way she is interacting with Lauren with such grace, I will be tuning in more - so happy to see Lauren back at acting

As crazy as it sounds, her stating that she’s still grieving helped me. Sometimes I feel like I should be over my loss by now…… but, I’m not! I’ve just decided to grieve inwardly…… don’t want to bring others down.

I don't think you're reaching at all. They didn't have to show Nip, play his music, or even have Jonah's character name drop The Marathon store when he was speaking to her parents.
I liked the way L.A. was shown & represented in this movie, not to mention how they threw M.C. Eiht's song is in there as well.

Although she appears strong, she’s been open about how grief is lifelong and what she’s learned about herself during it.
