one of the best all-time signature songs of the rascals...when it came out in 1967, everything was free and easy and cool...hippie yippie days of fast cars and cheap gas...we had real food, real air, real water, real weather, and real people...now, everything is fake...

@@casperguylkn If you watch closely, the bass player thought the backing vocals were what Felix wanted too, but then Felix motions like he's playing bass and actually says "bass". I think he either wanted the bass louder or wanted the exact notes that he always played with his bass pedals back then (since they never had a bass player and Felix covered the bass parts with his B-3 bass pedals).

I like the Hammond organ sound better.
