I have this same guitar only mine was produced in '07. I bought it in '07 and have never learned to play it. So I am just now learning. I love this guitar. I know people tend to look down on Epiphone, but I don't see a reason to every upgrade. But that view may change later on.
I recently saw this band called the main squeeze and the guitarist in this band plays this guitar for almost everything and it sounds awesome. I think he plays a gibson. But yeah epiphone is a safe choice money wise for me atleast.
Did not expect that sound. Quite impressive pups. warm tonezz.
Has the epiphone tone as promised. 😅
Yup really good for the price.
I'm not a fan of the SG Special VE for its bolt-on neck joint. But this G-400 comes with a glued set neck with enhanced sustain. I'd rather spend 6K more and pick this one up over the budget SG special VE
Sounds amazing and looks amazing for the price point.
100 Percent Agree 💯
Impressive 😊
Thanks 🙏🙏
@@GuitarGearGyan you're welcome
Great wood grains. Grover tuners on this one? Surprising. But the body is too slim. This is like Epiphone Special.
I feel the sustain is really less.
Beautiful guitar, but yeah it sounded suuper muddy. Muffled and unclear for days. Was considering buying one used off of kijiji. This review helped me out a lot. Might just go for an Epiphone SG Standard instead. Thank you!
Glad it was useful
Have to put those small weights inside the cavity to counteract the balance.
This year I recently got a made in China 2008 Les Paul Custom by the same brand.
Yes true
What would you recommend for the pick ups
Am lusting after the Gibson 57s so let us see if I get a guitar to put those on.
Does it say Gibson on the headstock ? No.
Does it matter ? No.
(if it falls, it will still be a headless guitar ;))
