I'm so glad that they're giving us another chance at a He-Man to go along with Battle Cat
but unfortunately not with all the weapons and armor :( .... I just found this Mondo stuff right now and are completely flashed by their products and it is really uncool do not get this past items again :(

I own nothing from Mondo, but maaaaaaan, THIS, if I can swing that price, I think this is the first one I will be getting. This is phenomenal work, a true work of art.
I think once you have something Mondo created, it all makes sense. Poster, record or figure. Well worth the money.
The 1st mondo he man got me hooked. Now this battle cat is just something special. When this pre order is over so many collectors will know they made a big mistake.

I ended up ordering this guy and the He-Man. It was a chunk of cash, but I'm much more selective about what I buy lately. (1/12th scale figures add up real quick these days, and I'm not really buying anything anymore, so...). They will be a great display piece. No regrets.
I'd rather have fewer piece of higher quality then a big quantity of meh figures...
I just got a BBTS shipment with 9 MOTU figures. A mix of origins and masterverse and let me tell you. That was a chunk of change and I have run completely out of room. The way both of those lines are releasing there is no breathing room. And origins is becoming a repaint collection along with the numerous He-Man and Skeletor variants. I just think it’s time for me to bow out of the origins all together and be very selective on which masterverse I buy. I just cancelled sun man and he-ro and skipped on most of the newest waves other than a couple. Honestly none of the MOTU’s have brought me as much joy as the Mondo stuff. So I agree that fewer higher quality pieces are much better suited going forward for me. And their value keeps!

Man, I completely speechless about Battle Cat. Blew my mind away. And the He-man figure. Man, why can Mattel can He-man's head sculpt right?! Just a look at that Mondo Heman head sculpt. Again mind blowing! I know it's a one sixth scale, but I'm pretty sure Mattel can do something similar or better in the 7-inch scale

Amazing interview Danny 💪💪💪💪💪 that Battlecat looks amazing and I will be all in but my concern is with the joints I noticed the neck can’t hold the up position with the head, since is a big figure and will have Heman on top will be great to have ratchet joints and not friction ones. We don’t want another Sentinel case with this expensive figure. If you can clarify that point or at least ask the company about it will be great thanks again 💪💪💪💪💪

Anyone else notice how the heads won’t actually point up? Is this due to the weight of the heads? It’s a bit of a concern that they couldn’t pose it that way
I can confirm the neck joint does have a ratcheting joint not seen in this video as the figure here is still a prototype that we had to share with Dan. Neck will have a ton of motion😊

I would have loved to have just Cat’s helmet to display next to the unhelmeted head, like the og box art, but the new imagined helmet is best-of-both-worlds.
That is good news about the heman release, hopefully it comes with the 3 heads. I can live without the extra armor.

i have the deluxe he man. skeletor and she ra open from mondo. this comes way too early. eternia is live as well. love it and very happy with the mondo figs i got so far, but they need to realize that everything is getting more and more and expensive and releasing 3 figs and a big cat in the same year doesnt leave the fans any room to breathe…😬
You can't expect Mondo to not put up a sale during the same time as Mattel. They are not the same company. Just because Mondo is selling something licensed to them by Mattel for the same MOTU property doesn't mean they can't sell things simultaneously. It would have been good it they had put the sale off further, but if Battle Cat is ready, then why not. Eternia won't even be available until 2024. We might end up getting Battle Cat within the next 6 months

can i expect mondo to first deliver at least one of the 3 figures they put out as preorders for several hundred bucks a piece this year, before releasing yet another figure to preorder for double the price of a normal figure, as it is a premium fig?
mondo can release what they want when they want. they are a company that makes great products. but there is a limit to what a customer base can afford if the release frequency is too high.
Just need a few more figures and a Castle Grayskull and we can have Mondo-Styled version of the OG Intro

Man, this line has gone insane in just 3 years!!! I've been with the Mondo MOTU 1/6 line since they dropped their original He-man at $160 only 3 years ago in 2019. Now we get a deluxe He-man $260 & a Battle cat for $499 in 2022!!!!!
It was just 3 years ago that MOTU collectors grail was Super7's Snake Mountain at RRP $600+shipping.
Insane to think this Battle cat is worth $499. Mondo is not Hot Toys & even Hot Toys would not charge such a price for a 1/6 figure accessory no matter how beautiful it looks. Appropriate price would be $350.
You're forgetting to count in each one's business models which are different; hence the differences in pricing.

As I think about this I have a question for you Dan, did you notice or did they mention if the joints are ratcheted? I'm concerned that without tight, ratcheted joints we might have to worry about sagging legs over time. That is a lot of plastic, especially if you have the He-Man sitting on it in your display. I'd hate to spend $500+ on something that won't stand up over time because the joints don't hold.
Neck joint is ratcheted and leg joints are very strong

@@SixScaleSteve here’s to hoping it’s not another super articulated “Not really articulated” figure. The kind that looks loaded with movement but just droops and can’t do anything but look good.

Dude I feel you. I’m getting this and the Legends Mer-Man. Going to be an expensive year, but I only collect Mondo and Legends now. All the other MOTU product (excluding Construx) are no good.

@@phils6733 The unfortunate thing for me is I was only in HS when Classic's started, so I wasn't able to get the full line (not enough income from part time work to sub every year) so I have most of the figures from the first couple years and then it tapers off. Really sad I didn't pony up for Greyskull and Snake Mountain when they were released since both the Classics playsets are great. I grew up with the 200x series, but now since I have my degree and a good job I can afford to collect the premium lines now. I wish Mondo releases were more frequent as I know that eventually I won't have as much surplus income to afford them. What I will say though is that the Revelations and Origins line are good for play so I can see why your son would love them.

I like the Mondo 1/6 MOTU line, but the way they have been doing exclusive’s/orders lately has made if very difficult to even stay up trying to collect them! My excitement and anticipation has gone way down on Mondo’s offerings. It is hard enough as it is to collect MOTU stuff in this day and age, and I have had to just let the line go!
Odd the last 2 heman and shera had 48 hour window to order and battlecat is a 5 day or so window to order. Not hard at all

exactly, I cannot get why the give not other then scalpers the chance to buy them afterwards ... it would be fair to say, ok here is the 48h window or 1 week to buy it to that price, after that you can order it again for a higher price, but you have to wait until we have X units in the queue, that we build it again ...

Ya, I’m worried by how loose it looks. He looks very heavy and would really need ratchet joints.
Ratchet joints are confirmed 😊 this prototype shown here did not have that yet

The thing people arent realizing this is not a 1/6 figure, it's more of a 1/6 vehicle. The size of it alone is twice that of the MOTUC BattleCat/Panthor . If you compare the price they go for this is probably on the fairly priced. Not saying it's good but I see the value.

They really need to correct the saddle, the cinch strap should be just behind the front legs, almost in the arm pits, and the stirrups should be where the strap currently is. The current configuration would never work. I know it's nerdy, but it is really a big detail for five hundred dollars and with all the fine design work done on the figure.

Since i have the origins and Masterverse he-man and battle cat... I can just be contented with those. Sure I want this.. but no budget and no room for it .
At the 15:00 Mark, did he say he's going to have future releases that ARE going to come with really cool little buddies, or ARENT going to come with really cool little buddies? If I could get another version of this later at a lower price that doesn't come with baby crigner I would rather wait for that. I'm curious if this will be the only chance to get Battle Cat, or if there will be another release later on.

Hi there ! It will in fact have a ratcheting neck joint. This was only an early prototype that we shared with Dan. The final figure will have a lot of motion.

Do these figures have ratchet joints? Because it looks like Battlecat can only stand and has a droopy head. I hope they make a video showing the RANGE of movement of this figure, because as is, and much as I adore the Filmation Cringer/Battlecat, it looks like one of those figures that has a ton of movement- but can’t really use any of it due to weight or weak joints. But I’m definitely impressed, though the droopy head concerns me.

Personally i think at this size, joints should have ratchets. One problem I had with classics Battle Cat is that joints gets loose over time
that and I am also concerned, that the head cannot be "proudly look up" ... I hope really, that this was only a prototype issue ...
@@sleepyelk5955 yeah. they never mentioned about ratcheting joints. I sold my Classics Battle Cat because the joints are too loose it can't even stand up anymore. In 2 days, he's just gonna lie down completely. I never thought I would need a stand over battlecat and I rarely handle the fig. The most I did is the one time I used Battle Lion's armor on it to become the 2002 version. That's a cool gimmick if you have both. Btw, did you get the Mondo version though?

After buying this, it'll be 4 motu items on preorder (deluxe HM, shera, skeletor, and this). Yikes! I love you guys, but I WILL NOT give you any more money until you start shipping things.
I stated that their "pre-orders", go back and reread what I wrote. How many preorders can a company put out before they start shipping them? Good thing is, he hints in the video that deluxe he-man may be shipping soon.

The master verse battle cat is very underrated. It's the best battel cat for the money and alot of them are on clearance now .if this is the future of collecting alot of people including me will have to stop.i don't know who they are making these very expensive figures for but it's sure not for the regular guy that likes motu.
The Masterverse cat is awful. The second best (previous the best) BC was the Classics one. This is by far the best Battle Cat has ever looked. I couldn’t be paid to display the Masterverse one. The sculpts and pint apps on most of those figures are awful.

@@hq9344 They have a few good figures that I've picked up (Moss Man and Beast Man), but the paint apps and some of the sculpts are very lacking IMO. The new New Adventures Skeletor looks great though. MasterVerse had the potential to really blow the socks off Classics, but Mattel dropped the ball.
@@masonj4779 Yup. It is good for me. My only problem with the Mondo line is that they don't release enough figures every year. Stoked to have my Mondo Battle Cat and Deluxe Skeletor and Panthor have my name written all over them next year.

I will stick to the 6 inch scale also way cheaper for something that will just sit somewhere taking up space .
