The problem is that 8 months prior to the album release, Britney had shaved her head and her crazy life was overshadowing the music. So when the album came out, more attention was placed on her life but it didn’t take long for people to start listening. Sonically, the album took current pop to the next level and started the whole electro pop era.
For fans that have followed her from the 1st LP, it was a natural progression. Unfortunately, it was all over overshadowed during the time. And, yes, you are correct, it is known as an album that shaped pop/dance music for all songs post the release

I was 16 when this album came out, it was actually leaked and I’ve listen to the demo versions first. I liked a lot of the songs but some of the sounds sounded weird to me because at the time there were not much electronic sounds like that in mainstream music and there were no ballads in the album unlike her previous albums. But I still liked it very much and was listening to it all day! Britney was also going through a lot of personal struggles at that time, and I was really proud of her for the song piece of me.

No she is a vocal artist the way that she will just certain inflections and the and the the vocal natural vocal fry she has and the choices that she makes when she does her runs on like there's those little bits of breathing and you can hear it what like she knows when to take that breath to make it a signature Briney vocal and inflection and it changed to just she knew what she wanted to sound like despite the quote unquote baby voice narrative. Great video man so fun you should definitely check out Glory the deluxe version it is amazing what she does with her vocals

This is the one that I noticed a lot of people were waiting for! I think Britney says in her memoire that she recorded "Hot as Ice" in one take - please correct me if I am mistaken. I really love the first half of this album and the last half. There's 2 or 3 songs in the middle that I've never cared for. The first 5 or 6 tracks are a non-stop ride of bangers!!!! I don't agree that this is the "Bible of Pop." This sound is a dirtier pop....a cool blend of sassy pop and hip-hop sounds with hints of a darker undertone. This album is like the soundtrack to a Saturday night party at the club - one where you stay out too late and don't care. I think her earlier albums are a better representation of pop, but this is definitely what ignited that Nikki Minaj style of pop music.
They don’t mean Bible of Pop as in, it should represent all pop up until that point. The nickname is because after it’s release it was used as the blueprint for the style of pop moving forward. You can hear these elements all over the pop of the 2010s. It started the electronic music in pop trend, and I think the edginess and darkness too. Lady Gaga’s the fame especially stands out to me as very inspired by this. The structure of the songs has also been heavily mimicked. When you work at a bar there is a book of all that bars recipes kept there, it’s called the bar Bible, I think this is a similar concept.
This entire album is perfect, a true testament to Britney’s legacy. I think this album will inspire for a long time to come.
