there is no shortage of things to pick on him about.
Jimmys a great comedian, I just don't think he fits in with the american audience very well. To date all of my least favorite Jimmy Carr sets tend to be from when hes been over there. I think its just out of his comfort zone, and his material often suffers - but he still finds himself invited a lot due to his reputation for roasting people and doing crowd work style comedy.
He's also become a lot more of a host over the years too, and sometimes I think that's affected his style over time as well.
Anything currently that Carr is not involved in is bad casting, Carr isnt top tier but he’s higher than most right now. Not sorry

I feel people outside the UK who haven't watched Jimmy Car for years like most of us have don't realise that he's on easy mode with these roasts. In the UK where we make a joke about the darkest subjects, Jimmy still manages to be polarizing with his material. He's taking it easy on Bert.

@Spykdwthpain he's been huge in the UK for decades, but apart from getting caught tax dodging, I know nothing about him. He's never told stories about his life and over saturated the scene with his content. Classic setup, punchline, 1 line comedy, and not many can do his style better.

I'm not sure if I agree or not. I think Mitch Hedberg was a comedic genius but I can't see him being great at a roast for some reason. Although my favorite comedian is Patrice O'Neal and he destroys at roasting people so you definitely have a good point in that circumstance.
