I remember when this talk was given at General Conference. I was much younger and I am gald that I followed Pres. Benson's counsel. As I look back upon my life I can see how obtaining a testimony of the Book of Mormon and the application of its teachings been a blessing to me. It truly has been the greatest gift because it confirmed to me that God is real and that we are his children and Jesus Christ is his only begotten son and the redeemer of my soul. Blessed be the name of the Most High forever and ever; for seeing fit to give me such a gift. Praise be unto him forever and ever.
    Amen

President Benson is one of the few that does not sugar coat the truth on all levels. Thank you for being so straight forward and plain like Nephi in teaching the true doctrine of the Lord's gospel.

POWERFUL....POWERFUL.....POWERFUL.......POWERFUL.....POWERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have prayed many many times and fasted many many times to feel the POWER of this book and Father has shown me in great POWER the truthfulness of this Book. I LOVE it and I CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT!!! IT has shown me Christ. I know HIM now. It has given me great solace, comfort and strength. My desires for sin has lessened. I have greater power in avoiding temptation. I have greater wisdom and understanding. It has become a living, breathing temple in my life. Because of this book, I am assured of my salvation in Christ. If any of you have doubts about the Book, please fast and pray and ask Heavenly Father in the sincerity of your heart and I PROMISE you, He will answer you. Of this, I am a sure witness. In the name of Jesus Christ..Amen. Your brother---Clifton

the book of mormon also testifies that bible is perfect in its translations for when jesus quoted in the book of mormon or when the ppl of christ quoted the old prophets or jesus quoting old prophets and sayings from new testament (quoting himself) ..testifies that everything is written about this in this book is the exact same thing in the bible ..the message is the same .this is a testament that god has kept his words holy . because :The heaven and the earth will pass away, but My words shall not pass away

"But there are some today who complain that the home evening manual should have been issued years ago. If this is true then the Lord will hold his servants accountable, but no one can say that from the inception of the Church up to the present day the Lord through his Spirit to the individual members and through his spokesmen the prophets, has not given us the objectives and plenty of guidelines and counsel. The fact that some of us have not done much about it even when it is spelled out in detail is not the Lord’s fault.
For years we have been counseled to have on hand a year’s supply of food. Yet there are some today who will not start storing until the Church comes out with a detailed monthly home storage program. Now suppose that never happens. We still cannot say we have not been told.
Should the Lord decide at this time to cleanse the Church-and the need for that cleansing seems to be increasing-a famine in this land of one year’s duration could wipe out a large percentage of slothful members, including some ward and stake officers. Yet we cannot say we have not been warned."
**President Ezra Taft Benson** (General Conference Talk - April 1965. Not Commanded in All Things and God, Family, Country pg 383)

How do you justify that the book of Mormon contradicts the Bible? The Lord said that he is the one and only God and none have come before him and none will come after, yet the Mormans believe they become eternal gods of other planets? God, the creator of all and everything yet God and Lucifer were brothers? Repent.. Realize the original Gospel of our one and true Lord please!❤️
