    Dear expert, I appreciate your extraordinary job that contributes immense knowledge to viewers (beginners). I want to ask how to calculate the long steel bar with the steel tube restrainer (which covers out of the steel bar) in the Ansys workbrench. How to find the proper mode shape of the steel core bar inside the tube under cyclic loading? Here, boundary conditions must correspond to two ends of the steel bar. The role of the outer tube is to restrain the buckling of the inner steel bar. Thank you so much

      Regarding accurate mode shapes finding, you need to create FEA model for bar with steel tube restrainer structure & then do static analysis for cyclic loads and then do pre-stress model analysis.
