    What about external equipment that already vibrates and it's effect on the structures how can we interpret this loads in the structure if we already know the details. Of the rotating machine while we need to study the strucutr for structural optimization

    it would be great if you make separate in depth video on each of the type of load with full application..like when to use this type of load, what are applications, what is significance of that load etc

      For ANSYS discovery, you might need A dedicated graphics card with latest drivers and at least 1GB video RAM.

    For the revolution joint example with cam and crank shaft, I don’t understand how there could be a moment in the z direction. Is that an internal moment or torque to rotate the mechanism?

    You appying loads on your construction simply multiplying value per m square on length of your beams is it correct approach? As far as I know load must be applied according to tributary areas and while your beams are working in equal conduitions and connected in one level the form of tributary are is rectangle.

    • @graspengineering9249
      @graspengineering9249  Před 3 lety

      This is just demonstration for types of loads. You just need to check the units of the loads while applying and check the output reaction to verify load applied correctly or not. There are number of ways to apply the loads, you need to verify

      @@graspengineering9249 One more question. I meshed my model in spaceclaim import it and try to apply a bearing load in workbench, i selected faces of my geometry select apply geometry and nothing happened i/e workbench did not apply bearing load how this problem may be solved?

  • @vsidrvich

    And one more remark about bolt pretension. In classical ansys it is possible to manage the history of pretension, but is it possible in worckbench. In all videos pretension for all bolts conducted thru one load step, while in reality pretension conducted thru multiply load steps. Is it possible to make a video describing sequences and patterns of bolts pretensions.

    • @graspengineering9249
      @graspengineering9249  Před 3 lety

      Bolt pretension is assembly/installtion load which comes first and hence in first step preload is applied and then second step is locking and then next step (or second step) onward remaining loads will come. This is the generic bolt pretension load sequence.

    i am having little bit difficulty in understanding the remote point and remote force. Can you please do simulation of any example using these boundary conditions, and tell us how they affect the results

    • @graspengineering9249
      @graspengineering9249  Před 5 lety +1

      Remote point is element created as desired location on which we can apply loads like force, moments as well as can apply boundary conditions. Please refer more video's in description link where mass is applied at remote points.
      Remote point can be created either as deformable or rigid surface behaviour.

    Can you clarify when we need to make different load steps? For example if we have internal pressure, pressure thrust and nozzle forces/moments. With thanks!

    • @graspengineering9249
      @graspengineering9249  Před 4 lety +1

      If the pressure vessel is fails due to applied combine loads. Then it is difficult to identify for which loads, vessel is failed. And hence individual loads steps are solved to see the effect of every load case. Like first Pressure, Nozzle forces and both combine.

    Could you tell whether nozzle thrust force should be applied on flange face always? Nozzle thrust is product of ID * pressure . Please tell the significance of thrust force in ANSYS

      Please refer our nozzle shell junction video, there we explain compensating pressure, thanks. Thrust pressure is always applied at the openings. Like as you said nozzle flange face opening. cylinder cut boundaries,etc.

    Thank you very much .I always thought that the weight is automatically taken into account by ansys. is it necessary to apply it in any analysis ?

    • @graspengineering9249
      @graspengineering9249  Před 6 lety +2

      To account the weight effect of mounting mass we need to apply gravity in static analysis. In case of dynamic analysis, no need to apply gravity.
