Not only can she hit the notes but she can hold them too. Just amazing!
That's why I have two versions of Phantom. She just held it even longer with Nightwish, without even breaking a sweat.
And these are just the notes we're able to hear with our human ears. You should see my dogs when we listen to Floor; total joy 😂

After having a rather sever stroke in 2022, listening to Floor and Nightwish is one of the few joys in life I can still enjoy. They have helped a lot.
I feel you, man. I lost my legs last year and seeing Nightwish was the only good day I had. I spent just about every night watching CZcams videos of their live performances. Floor is therapy for sure.

Good luck to you both gents! I've lost a lot of my mobility by multiple systemic diseases and a whole lot of non-union ribfractures. Can't use NSAIDs anymore, cause they ruined my kidneys and I'm allergic to opiats, so I'm in constant pain. Can't imagine loosing my legs though 😔 But I know what it's like to loose your health in general.
NW is great, so is Floortje. I'm Dutch, 6'1 too and 20 yrs senior, so I can say Floor-tje ('tje' is a diminutive in Dutch), unless she's wearing heels 😁
Suppose you looked into Ayreon as well? Arjen is such a nice guy. A gentle soul, like Floor(tje) and the other members of NW.
Sick too , emphysyma , and only one wish left .Tomvisit a concert , but it will be very difficult to do .Oxygen and so on .

Beautiful in so many ways. Floor's production of her notes in mixed belt and timbre is simply unmatched . They are the bulls-eye-goosebump notes. Then on top of all that, she makes it look easy. The gift that keeps on giving.
Absolutely. If you only consider the range, Dimash is the greatest singer hands down. However, the timbre/tone/texture/overtones of Floor's voice makes her performances more pleasing for my ears.
And do not forget her smile when she sings. It makes it not only look easy but also happy 😊We are the lucky ones to live in the era of Floor Jansen...
After Forever was a great band , but Floor did good switching to Nightwish .And it seems like her voice is only getting better over all these years .I remember seeing her at Kopspijkers on Dutch tv and almost falling off my chair .She was young and so wildly beautyful .And now all grown up she has become the absolute queen ofv rock She is unbelievable getting all those kids into symfonic metal or rock as we used to call thatv stuff .Love her and I'm 67 now , like a schoolboy .Lol😊
When I saw Floor live in Chicago, I felt like a lovestruck teenager. I'm 51 haha.
Floor did not switch After Forever for Nightwish
After forever broke up in 2009 , she started ReVamp in 2010 she then broke up ReVamp to stay in Nightwish full time as it was too much for her having two bands
... And honestly After Forever is a better band and Floor sang better there than in Nightwish....

My Sympathies, understanding, hope and best wishes go to all. I have found that I have a better understanding of what it means to suffer what too often comes with age. I too have appreciated more of what I had, try to work out what I can at this stage.

So live she has sung to D6 the (E6 was in the studio). So that is Siren range (Watch your boats).
The amazing thing is how clear, consistent, and long she can hold those notes. To do this live is blind folded triple somersault with a twist stuff, with no safety net. WOW!
The real test of any female singer in their prime is "Savean" in full octave. Sarah Brightman did it live in Vienna. It wasn't perfect but very close. Now that is another whole level above "Floor".

However, a lot of notes were wrong. For example 15:42 it's nowhere a C#6. It's a G5 belt.
Looks like u used software to detect the notes. They can be quite inaccurate. U may try it with your ears next time. It takes time to identify the notes tho.
Yep. Quite a large difference between C#6 and G5. That's what happens when you use software instead of your ear and a piano.
I used the wrong clip of the song and it will be deleted soon, sorry. I used a vocal database for the notes and compared them to the piano, was way off on the Noise, though.

what about the middel part of dreamflight?
The art is not to hit those high notes per se (many women can get into really high notes ) in *head voice*, but to hit those notes in a full *belt*.
THAT is the brilliance of Floor (amongst many other vocal traits)
Also to sustain them and make them sound great, and actually singing, those whistling tones are nice and all, but at some point it just becomes pointless.
Watching how easy she hits these notes you can tell she has more she just don’t do it.

A lot of this clips are mislabeled. The high note in Dead Boy's Poem is F5, not F♯5, for example.
I didn't hear anything close to a G5 in the Alpenglow clip, but she definitely sang it in the Greatest Show clip.

I appreciate the effort and love Floor Jansen but this video is very misleading, so many bad notes... I would love to help more but it is too much, 4 mistakes in first 7 songs.
7 days to the wolves (0:16) : F5 is good
Let it go (0:42) : F5 is wrong, it is D#5
Wish I had an angel (1:00) : F5 is good
Ever dream ( 2:00) : F#5 is good
Dead boy's poem (2:18) F#5 is wrong : it is F5
Energize me (2:47) : F#5 is wrong : it is E5 highest, final note is C#5
Alpenglow (3:30) : G5 is wrong : she does not go above D#5 in this sequence
yEP NOT ONLY HITTING THE NOTES BUT IN PERFECT PITCH Plz take notes Mariah Carey lol In one of the recent Nightwish live shows uploaded on here theirs one where the guys are tuning or drinking and she walks to the front of stage and just goes through the scales right up to dog whistle If you happen to come across it turn vol down if listening on a good system with headphones, because it is almost ear shattering I assume she doesn't have wine glasses at home lol
Considering she likes drinking some wine now and then, i assume she does, I hope so lol.
