THANK THE LORD FOR SHAWN TUBBS!!!!!!!!! Have Mercy!!!!!! I can't read music, never learned a complete song or solo off of a record. Thank you Shawn because I now feel justified for being the lazy picker I am. Much love my Brother.
He is a boss!
Shawn Tubbs - just love your simplicity.. God bless you.
This brother is one of my heroes! Amazing player and guy! Thanks for your gift to all of us!
I knew Shawn a bit from the shop that he and his brother owned in Fountain Valley. He was a great guy then and still is. God is good.
He is a great guy!
Was that the Mesa Boogie or Lab Sound or something like that with his brother on Euclid Avenue in Fountain Valley, I bought a 2290 from them?
Great player and such a lovely fella.

This was a great one for me because my approach to the instrument is so similar ro Shawn's. Kindred spirits. I don't feel like quite as much of a knob now. :)

@18:30 'I think at the end of the day you learn to just kinda take advantage of the very thing that's killing you' - Shawn Tubbs
Another great interview of a great guitarist and great guy ! Do any of these guys have an ego ?!
Very cool story. I can relate to the way he learns. I've also never been able to learn other peoples entire songs without getting distracted by what I can do with it lol.
Shawn does have a great story, and is a great guy.
I can't believe Shawn does not read music! Too lazy to learn, ME TOO!!! I like him even more now.
no one reads...its so rare
look at him drop these monster chops all over the place! Did he say Guthrie Trapp is better than him? IDK. Don't think even Mr. Trap would agree.
Carrie Underwood is lucky to have him!!!
Agreed! Thanks for watching.
Who is Carrie Underwood ?
If this is a philosophy, then it definitely jives with my experience. Thanks for this.
You are welcome, and thank you for watching
Great interview! It is good to see someone that is so down to earth do so well in the industry. Also glad to hear my buddy Phil Keaggy get a shout out at about the 5:00 mark in the video! Was also cool to hear Chris Lazotte get a mention. I got to have dinner with him after a gig he did here in southern Illinois many years ago.
Phil is so worthy of a shout out. Thank you for watching.
Phil actually introduced me to your pedals back in 2005. We were sitting in his basement as he recorded some stuff for me using a few of your pedals. Started a great relationship with you all!.
Very cool!

Super dude. Great job!
Thanks, and we agree, he is a super dude!
Brilliant interview!
Thank you so much. Please subscribe, and you will be informed when part 2 of this interview is released.
Done!
I'm lazy and never learn shit all the way through either... but I suck. Obviously Shawn has a *lot* of humility about his badass self.
Very humble guy. Thank you for watching!
Shawn is the man. Hope to have the chance to meet him. Seems like a great dude! Don't even have to mention his guitar playing. Just stupid good!
He is the man!
Fantastic player. Seems like a good dude.
A great dude!
Man, he dropped the guitar to get a job to support his family! What hope do we mere mortal guitar players have. We need real government support for arts. This would be good for our social wellbeing and tourism - we can’t just have a lack of policy for the arts that depends on bars and pubs - lol.
👍
Whose intro is that???!!!
To the lounge? That is Al Perkins
hah! grab a bit and too lazy for the rest! yes!! goddamn I can identify with THAT!
Rob Lowe?
Ha!!
