Why Valencia's new stadium has taken 15 years to build

  • In the early 2000s, Valencia C.F. was a very different football club. It was seriously challenging Real Madrid and Barcelona at the top of Spanish football, winning numerous major trophies. It wanted a new stadium fitting of that status.
However, fast forward 15 years and that grand stadium is still a building site. The story of why is a cautionary tale about how new exciting ground developments can be damaging if not executed perfectly.

really sad to see the decline of one of my favorite clubs throughout the years :( even now in October no construction has been done and I worry it will just be put off again until later, with the club continuing to struggle in the middle of the league table and Lim still not caring about the team in the slightest

Really sorry to hear about that. Had a feeling the October deadline was overly ambitious. Lim is sucking the life out the club.
