- Had to go back out to retrieve the anchor I forgot so decided to do some random fishing. Finally got to test out the drag on the Torium and ran into a guy who floated his inflatable from Big Pine on his way to Key West. Crazy stuff what you see in the ocean. LOL. Also, was handily defeated by the Sharks, so looking for a re-match.

wow the elusive sea hobo nice find
Dalton lmao!! I still don't understand what the fuck he was doing.
Byrdman 51/50 me neither people from FL are fucking weird
He was going from upper or mid keys to Key West by sea instead of land because he is a hobo living on a raft with no money.
lmfao sea hobo you know there was some dope involved with that dude and the bike . living in FL you can bet you see and meet all kinds from every walk of life and it isn't always cool .
We actually call them Obos, it's short for ocean going hobos.
This guy is living homeless on the sea!!...what an absolute great guy!
good on that guy, he is living, a true adventurer! he did sound high af though, maybe he thinks he is in the bathtub...
high af was mine first impression aswell
Honestly folks, rolling around in calm seas smoking grass is a lot of fun. Until shit turns sideways and it's not all fun and games anymore.
sobers you up real quick
😂
billy bob do tell! Haha sounds like you got some stories
This dude just seems cool. Like the kind of guy you’d want to hang out with.
I'm not sure what to think about the hippie bicycle boat guy, except that if someone needed to buy some weed, he's the one to ask.
He's got all the seaweed you'll need.
He probably smokes seaweed.
When you're high like him, weed is weed.
He was a 👻.
U can give him a fish for weed
Glad to hear you talk about the clear water. I'll be in the keys in May, I can only hope for CLEAR water! Thanks Steve
I love how your trying to keep it pg. I fly fish for trout in my kayak and when I lose one I cuss so much. My hat is tipped to you for keeping in.
I love how the video felt like a part 2! Awesome video, its nice to see the tropical weather when it is 30 degrees in New York.

Cool kayak set up, just got a small one today going out in the morning
At least you caught a mullet. Looks like fun!
Man that was huge. I hooked on to a giant tiger a free months ago. Snapped my 100lb wire leader..
Love your vids.
THAT REMINDED ME OF WATER WORLD THE MOVIE LOL @ 4:20
Dang it!!! Dang it !!! Dang it!!!!

Don't talk to strangers especially strange strangers. The sharks are safer.

Looks like the clamppets are moving in. Lol
I subscribe because of your humility in defeat. FISH ON, BROTHER!
More like fish off ;)

I bet if CZcams wasn't such a bunch of fruits, Steve would be throwing out the filthiest F bombs any of us have ever heard
No black Liquorice please he did in his first few videos that went viral a year ago
That guy was awesome! And I love it how you always keep your language pg rated lol
mike winans...must not have been here very long lol. Steve has his moments rather frequently
DANGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG IT!
Love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Another cool video Steve.thx
Heavy 10' leader to avoid those tail cuts...great video as usual.
@Key West Kayak Fishing Me and my family are coming down to Gieger key in a few weeks has the water been clear at all?
Another great video Steve.
Awesome always running into something
Say it with me "Dang it! Dang it!"
Really enjoying the videos!!! You are doing something that many of us are just dreaming to do! Great job!!!
If it helps, when I'm sharking with my spinning real I tie on a 10+ foot castable shock leader (at least 100# test, FG knot) that may help with the break offs. I bet you are getting tail whip on your line.
Keep up the great work and the great vids. Love them!!!
Next video - how to catch and cook duck!
Great videos Mr Steve, hoping to start kayak fishing soon when the weather is right. 👍
Love what you do. Keep it up :)
Steve, I'm all for targeting sharks for fun, but you really have to start using heavier mono and wire if you plan on fishing for them exclusively. Not so cool to just leave the hooks and line trailing one around for months when the leader sections clearly aren't heavy enough. Should be tarpon class at least and probably even heavier since blacktips and spinners frequently wrap the line around themselves when jumping. Have had them snap 300lb mono before on a jump. Not trying to be too critical, but sharks already get a raw enough deal and all the viewers should be shown how to have fun without leaving countless hooks in fish they never had a chance of landing.
I realize it's a bit more expensive and that you have to think about safety threshold because you're on a yak, but snapping off shark after shark rubs me the wrong way. A big offshore style dehooker rod would help a lot with the safety aspect.
The hooks rust out in a day or two. I caught a 38" snook with a brand new hook and leader in it mouth, must have been hooked that day or the previous. I removed the hook and leader and kept as a memento but it rusted literally 2 days later and crumbled away.
Hooks DO NOT rust out in a day or two. That is a gross misconception by many anglers. Steve himself did a video on that and if i remember correctly, at several months time the hooks were still intact. It takes months for hooks to rust out. In addition, the bigger the hook the longer it takes. I used to shark fish almost exclusively from the beach where I live and would use at least a 10/0 circle hook, # 9 wire+, and 5-10 feet of 200lb+ mono. Only had one monster bull swallow a hook, and broke off maybe 3-4 fish.
Easy to catch a shark on a proper setup, takes more skill to land on something alot lighter. That's just me
Or if hes not willing to buy heavier line get hooks that biodegrade quickly.
Hey man that's tarpon fishing if you get a good jump out of them you've done good , the skill is getting them to take the bait everything after that is gravy , WELL DONE NICE JOB 🖖
Awesome setup!
Good action there, sorry you didn’t bring it in, next time. Good fishing.
I have a question why dont you just use about a 3ft leader?
I gotta get back to the Keys. Haven't been down there in 3/4 years now. Hopefully BPKFL will at least be open for tenters by spring...
Awesome video! Can't believe that guy was just drifting along! Wow, lol when do you see that? Ever?! Nope, only here on your channel!!! That last one was huge! Was it a tarpon or a shark? Jumped like a tarpon but looked like a shark!
love your rig set up.....
Great vid as always
I like how you named your takeout friend "Ducky"! I am moving to the lower Keys from the Colorado/Utah border. We call inflatable kayaks Duckies. And they are awesome in Rapids and running down current. And eddying out. And we ride bikes. I wouldn't be surprised, if that guy in the 5-6 minute section was from my neck of the woods. I am in Salina, Kansas, en route!
Landlocked Angler cool that's where I live at is in Salina ks
great dang video , and you know the fishing is good and bad when you hear UT OHH and DANG IT DANG IT DANG IT in the same sentence
hopefully u get something what u want! from NC
Great Vid Bud!!!
dang it, glad i found this channel.
I thought you were going to give cute Ducky one of your mullets. May not have been a good day of fishing but seeing that makeshift float with a bicycle...humbling.
Loving the videos keep it up
I know what to say..... DANG IT!!!
Great video . Dang it ! ( know the feeling )
Is that the boat ramp next to Geiger key marina?
Had same kind of fishing this Sunday, sharks and jacks breaking line all day long. On the golf side, next to jewfish basin
I can't wait until the next video :)
Would braid have helped? I'm a spearo so just curious. It seems like everyone is using it over mono.
Maybe lost them but hey had fun and meet a guy with a bike out in the wide open lol. Hope you had a great next day. God bless
Steve let me tell you, the content you've been pumping out lately is fucking sick! I leave for a week and I see some dope footage binge watching your channel. Keep it up man I love the content, it reminds me of exactly what happens when I go fishing it feels like I'm fishing with you.
Actually made me laugh. What kind of contraption was that guy in wholly molli lol
proud of you for not swearing.
Sweet vid! Are they biting through steel leader?!
Nice boat. When I shark fish I use 80 lbs suffix 832 with a steel leader. Seems to do the trick
I couldn't hear. What that guy was doing out there with the bike?
@keywestkayakfishing have you ever tried fishing mallory square or simonton beach?
great show
When I get that mad, I say ALL THE DANGITS!!
at least you all have good date down there we have none up here in Tampa Bay
Keep uploading more videos 👍🏼👍🏼
My mama always said "when an Asian cries, a railroad gets built"
Dude... over engineer your rigs... we want you to touch the Monsters
The boat bike guy is probably just doing drugs
Joseph Park could be doing that. Less chance of getting arrested while floating out on a boat doing it.
Totally
Pat Lowney More chance of drowning lol
Haha so many dang it Steve
are you using steel leader? plus I would stop using mono line and get some rip cord or something.
7.46 is that mullet pinned through both lips or just the top lip/nose.?
"How's it going,....hahha...hahaAHaahha."
Steve, u r fucking awesome.
