This lesson is about Pyrope Garnet. How does it compare to a ruby? What makes it so red? Music courtesy of youtube music: Tiptoe out the back by Dan Lebowitz
Happy Belated Birthday !! Love that ring that you showed in the video!! Who knew that garnets had such a big family tree? Well, you did. Thanks for sharing !! Absolutely beautiful gem!!
Great video and so interesting. I remember seeing my first Pyrope garnet and couldn't believe how red a garnet could be. I had a few, but sold in some of my wire wrap pieces.
I couldn't agree more. One time one of my manufacturers made a garnet necklace for me to sell on ShopNBC. One glance and I knew it was pyrope. He had no idea. I told him to test it. He had no idea. He confirmed it was. That necklace sold out in about 2 minutes (about 200 were of the pyrope choice.
@@pauldeasygemstones I have my set of engagement/ wedding rings from 1968. They no longer mean anything to me since I have been divorced for 20 years. I know diamonds appreciate over the years. I know it's hard to say without seeing them but can you give me an idea how much they would be worth today? Thank you.The set cost $250.00 in 1968.
