    As someone else who has anxiety, that analogy you mentioned in that tangent is genuinely really relatable. I might have to keep it in mind next time I have a meltdown

    Sometimes I imagine my Ed Edd n' Eddy Rétro Future AU* having a video game adaptation, where the main game is based on the console trilogy's playstyles, and it has some extra minigames based on the flash games. For example, since the AU is Y2K/Frutiger sci-fi centered around Cyberspace(which sounds completely unhinged out of context) it could explain Lost in Space as being an actual thing to an extent and not just Edd's dream; since it wouldn't be too out of place in a Cyberspace dimension, and with the addition of retrofuturistic(or, I guess, rétrofuturistic) technology, Eddy might as well get his hands on some kind of spaceship/airship like that. By accidental coincidence, one of the areas is a cave system of tunnels and otherworldly materials, so that could work for a Jawbreaker MIne based minigame. I could go on and on.
    Candy Machine Deluxe could also work as a basis for customization, in some way. Mainly the UI style, and perhaps have an OST track remixed from the song that plays in it. Maybe the reward for having a high enough style score would be obtaining an apple-and-cinnamon-flavored Chunky Puffs item, if you know what I mean.
    I[t] could even reference some of the Cartoon Network crossover games that had Ed Edd n' Eddy co-featured in them, not mentioned in this video, like Summer Resort, Bean Bag Tag, and even Tokyo Blows with its... incredibly cursed sumo-wrestler-ified Eddy.
    My idea for the main game is that it has two modes, one where all of the Eds follow each other like Mis-Edventures, the other that lets you control and place them seperately like Jawbreakers! but more polished obviously. I think a game like that could work, as having them together would be more convenient and obviously more useful, but the separate movement is proven by Lost Vikings/Fireboy & Watergirl to be good for puzzle solving or just in case the non-selected Eds need to be still for a moment for whatever-reason. I'm thinking more of a Metroidvania kind of level progression, though, considering the story of the written material the AU's story is told through.
    If that ever does happen, however and why-ever it does, I'll probably not include bits from every game, for obvious reasons. I'll definitely leave out the ones that feel like generic games with the show's branding slapped on to it, like Build the Faces Of and
    (*My fanseries of the show that's an alternate universe, with things like artwork and written material to go with it. I talk about it a lot because I am actively working on it as I type, and I'm also hyperfixated on the show itself currently. I can't help but talk about it, as weird and perhaps "cringe" as it may be.)

    What an awesome and hilarious watch! Loved how deep you went down the Ed, Edd n Eddy games rabbit hole, including the flash games. And yeah, Mis-Edventures for the GBA was a godsend compared to EEnE Jawbreakers, glad the GBA was able to get a good EEnE game.

    24:25 What the hell, I loved Bubble Trouble as a kid, and played it a ton with my dad way back then. Finding out only now that there was a mobile clone with Ed, Edd n' Eddy is quite a surprise to me.

    Much like Tom & Jerry, EEnE is proof that slapstick humor rules. Given how insane EEnE could be, it's pretty absurd that they could never make a really outstanding game based on that show. But, it's okay; the show still slaps at least. I still sob-laugh at that scene where Kevin drops a piano on Eddy in that episode where the Eds are trying to get to the candy store and win free jawbreakers before the store closes.
    Plus, Ed's running and attack animations in the Mis-Edventures game are flipping hysterical.

      One of my favorite slapstick gags in the entire show was in Little Ed Blue, where Eddy's face gets flattened by a comic book and turned into a jumbled comic page. Some of them are genuinely extremely creative and inspired, which only adds to how hilarious they are.

    I remember a few weeks ago, playing Scam of the Century and choosing Edd first, and when I got to the segment with the nuts, I thought on-impulse as well as said out loud "HOLY SH|T, THIS GAME HAS A DEDICATED 'DOUBLE DEEZ NUTS' MECHANIC!"
    And that's what I call it to this day.

    after watching the video, i noticed that Ed, Edd n' Eddy not only have flash games but also shockwave games
    my fun fact: for some reason, some humans calls shockwave games as flash games, which does not make sense at all

    • @supermoe1985
      @supermoe1985  Před 4 měsíci

      I mention in the video that some of these games are actually shockwave and not flash, 'flash games' has just become an easy shorthand for browser based internet games from the mid 2000's
