...just a reminder to everyone who might be watching (or re-watching) this...
What started as a silly suggestion during ProtonJon's stream eventually morphed and mutated into a *legitimate podcast* happening once a month, starting in June 2020.
...this community is simply mind-boggling and crazy sometimes, and I *love* it!
A reminder to everyone how this all began with a raid that literally caused Stephen's computer to catch fire and then during Colisseum it raised 9k which is around 10k overall and now they are talking about a monthly podcast titled Disc Player... with Jon, Jerod, Tom, Stephen and Dan.
Did his computer actually catch fire?
@@jamieyakimets839 this is late but according to Stephen and Dan the computer started making sparking sounds and eventually stopped working properly. It also affected the Extra Life stream by basically just frying it;s framerate.
ProtonJon: Wouldn't it be funny if I got them to play the Game Boy Player disc, but with no game? That'd be funny.

As of Jon's Chaos Cookie segment from October 10th's Breast Cancer Research Foundation charity stream, this game has raised $14,852.18 dollars. And that's not counting the unofficial amount that brought it back into the top 10 for that bonus stream. That's nutty.

The slow escalation I have had over the last week of witnessing the discussion of this in the discord during Direct, watching it win the Chaos Cookie, the WHOLE THING happened, rewatching it on the VOD, and now tracking down the source and watching this saga. It's been insane. You've done the Lord's (not Don'ator) work here
This was the best podcast I've ever listened to. I also didn't know what to expect and that's what made this so much more fun.

What I love the most is when the Game Boy Player starts on Stephen's stream some of the chat is like: what I want animal crossing :(

Well this was great to watch for the first time. I think I remember watching that vlog a while back. Well... I laughed my ass off and now want a Game Boy Player (Disc Only) Podcast as many others probably do as well.
Well, good news
So I decided to do some math here:
On Extra Life, even though the audio was crap, the Game Boy screen was still on screen for what appeared to be 13 minutes and 39 seconds.
On TRG Colosseum 2020, it was on the screen for a total of 58 minutes and 53 seconds, adding up to a total of 1 hour, 12 minutes and 32 seconds
It was also on the Bonus Stream for 37 minutes and 31 seconds, leading to a total time of 1 hour, 51 minutes, and 3 seconds on the Game Boy screen, as long as you include the start up time for the Game Boy Logo, and when they were specifically doing Game Boy Player (Disc Only).
So wait, in total, how much did this game raise for charity?
$2,477.04 in Extra Life
$3,112.79 For round 1
$6,223.50 for The Bonus stream
This totals up to $11,813.33

How did the echo get fixed? During the stream that echo went on for a long time and it somehow got fixed during this compilation
I figure they got the footage from Jon's stream archive channel since the echo is gone from there as well. It's also not noticed by the guys in the call. Whatever effect MC had on the stream must have been something that was only sent 9ut to twitch.
