Good morning guys! The day is finally here and we’re so excited to show you how the new LC500 Convertible sounds like with the top down. We did one to clarify one thing, we mentioned an upcoming LC-F and after we filmed this video, a couple publications had posted that the rumored LC-F has been cancelled due to the pandemic. It’s twin-turbo V8 will live on but sadly, we probably won’t see the high performance LC anytime 🥺
It sounds like my old Lexus GS400 when the muffler broke. I always told people that's what they're supposed to sound like now LC500 proves that. 🤣😂🤣
Enjoyed the review. If Lexus does decide to bring the LC F to market, hope people don't compare it to a Corvette. Nothing wrong with the Vette, but this car is better paired against an Aston Martin DB

Agreed. This is exactly what I want Lexus to be doing in all their vehicles. Put this 5.0L v8, 10 speed, and even the LC interior in all their products. If all that happened they’d really give genesis a run for its money
Imagine if the RX went RWD… Combined w the 5.0L v8 and 10 speed and on an f sport, the active exhaust you have sheer perfection 😍

Even Mercedes amg is going away from v8's and focusing on performance hybrid engines, lexus is also going in that direction, in terms of the interior, that interior with the massaging seats is expensive that's why only the LC and LS are the only cars with that I think,
I'd even sit sideways in that back seat just to get into the LC convertible! 😍🔥

Exactly my thoughts! What people have always accused Lexus of being boring has always been my Zen when driving my Lex. It feels like I am isolated from the gritty streets of the city in my Lex. And that's how I like it. Although I would love to hear the V-8 sound of the LC on a daily basis also!
Floating on air is so true! I have a 237,000 miles 2006 Lexus ES330 and I’m still blown away EVERY time I drive it how buttery smooth and comfortable it is it’s amazing on road trips. I was so blessed to have it as my first car. I now ALSO have an LS460 which is an amazing piece, but I will never sell my ES.

I’ve had 3 Lexus vehicles in my life and although I have never been a fan of their looks compared to the Europeans, their built quality keeps drawing me back to the brand. This car has my name all over it
PARK I particularly like the LX, the GS and the LC and although looks are subjective, we can all agree that the reliability, longevity and resale value of Lexus vehicles always beats the German counterparts.

I agree it was a sexy ass car! Nice high belt line , beautiful flowing lines like a yacht, and in that brown tiger eye Mica metallic with the savannah taupe interior it’s TO DIE for ! I now have my grandpas old 2006 SC430 in pearl white and there is something so so special about it !

Feddy Teddy If America really cares about oil so much, why don’t they invade their neighbouring country up north? Canada has the third largest oil reservoir in the world and America can easily invade and enforce sanctions on Canada.
I never really understood all the hate the Lexus SC 430 got. I thought it was a pretty decent looking car, considering what else was out there at the time.
And the car aged extremely well with its looks as of now
The design of the car got even better with later model years.

It's how Porsches should be. I think the fact that Lexus still uses the V 8 on the GS (rip) & LC is fantastic. And they are a manufacturer that has earned the right to imo since most of their offering have hybrid options too.

Reliability isn't a big plus because people that buy new cars like this will get rid of it after 3-6 years and reliability won't matter

The Lexus SC430 was a beautiful car and it was way ahead of its time. That hard top drop always worked and it’s very quiet.

What are the major updates between the years of the LC 500? If looking at a pre-owned model, which model year would be the recommended model to consider?
Awesome video! Lexus is a car you always buy used, IMHO. They never get old, and their technological deficiencies in infotainment is easily and cheaply addressed by the aftermarket. I owned a 2018 Civic Si for about a year, sold it and bought a 2010 IS350 and never looked back. I'm really not a fan of the artificial feel of turbo charged engines, I'm pretty much sticking to Toyota/Lexus. Maybe 10 years from now I will pick up one of these!

What else can I say? I know I've said it before, but this car is just a masterpiece! I thought the coupe version was awesome, but now the convertible is just off the charts! I've been a proud Lexus owner of two Lexus's since 2006. I definitely love Lexus! I would love to own an LC though!

I have never once heard ANYONE say that the sc430 was “frumpy” looking..... that car was amazing and so ahead of its time with the hide-away dash that Bentley just put in the Continental, and flying spur. That car IMHO has lines as classic as the 300zx (89-00). But to each their own... another great review.
Amazing car. Lexus didnt just want to be the fastest but they wanted to make an incredible experience inside and out. (minus the infotainment) Also those panning shots at the end were great. This in convertible is honestly my new dream car. Its just special.

For the price, 2020 c8 or the Lexus LC500?
It's interesting how you compared this to the Aston and the Bentley, which can easily be double, and possibly triple the price. 911 is gonna be more expensive and the targeted shopper is different, really I think this is its own segment. The 8 convertible is not a direct competitor either for price and trim reasons, the S class convertible is not a direct competitor either for the same reason. I'd say that the 911 is it's the closest competitor, with the overall size and same useless backseats, but whatever, this is quite unique, just like any other similar cars mentioned above. I have never liked lexus before, but I admit this is a very good car.
How could anyone NOT love this car?
