Damn, I wish I'd thought of filtering. It makes perfect sense since it always goes faster when there are fewer items in the cache. I had, erroneously, assumed that it cared about all items, not just shown items. Though, I guess on the backend, they are doing a db select each time that changes rather than filtering data in-memory.

I actually laughed out loud at that. 😀 Ah, back in the days when you had to find tokens in chests to be able to level up. 😀 Wish I had kept one of those... I have a decent amount of useless things in my bank vault: crumbling motes of night and spectral dragon scales and type specific crafting bits that I didn't have enough of to trade in for new Cannith crafting bits, but none of the leveling tokens.
That's a really cool thing about the update from old dial up era code to modern. And the level specific trick will come in handy when I'm looking for the next set of gear for my TR character. When/if I can play consistently again, if ever. 😀

Because item level filtering is so broken, I use the drop down to sort by item type: hands, head, shield…
You had an old video that I used to tell because of the time it took to empty cache - and for years I begged them for a simple button with: do you want to remake your toon yes or no before reincarnation. But no, they never listen.
Thing is: please compare the time you take to do it now with the time from 5 years ago. Thanks.
But even the dial up have advantages: we should have perfect connection with any stable connection with more than 56Kbps.
But my question really is: is there any new spell at lvl 35 or they are just giving the power people had at lvl 30 back? how will player store more gear for these levels?

Why when i log on any character i've transferred from hardcore and now serves as a bank toon is the logging out phase really slow? Has anyone else experienced this?
This is something that I've heard about and I have a toon or 2 that is super slow to logout. I've not heard any good theories as to why this happens.
