After getting quoted absurd amounts of money for the downpipes install from my local shops, I decided to follow this video and do it my self. I’ve installed the MAD FATBOY catless primary downpipes on my driveway in about 4 hours, taking my time.

That is correct. The exhaust systems on the platform are starting to get cheaper so I may add one in the future. Depends on price

Probably close to stock. Catted aftermarket Downpipes are not worth it. Stay stock or go catless

Hi bro, i Bought this after seeing the video, fitment was not perfect for me, was it 100% spot on for you? I had problems to get all screws back on since the welded fixing point was not right

Yeah not 100% but 95%. The driver side engine mount brace on the primary downpipe did not line up. We shook the DP and it would not move so we where ok with it
Is the turbo whistle audible to you inside the car with the windows up? My F90 Comp doesn't have audible turbo whistle inside and I've never been outside my car while it was on to know if you can hear it outside.
I can hear it inside just not as loud. Do you have full Downpipes and intakes?

Did you close the valves at 14:04? I need to know if the stock M-Sport muffler can make a fully catless F90 sound somewhat civilized durting startup, otherwise my neighbours will kill me, lol. I only have an X-pipe so far, everything else is stock.
Yes with closed valves it is not as loud.. also you can turn off cold start in the tune. That’s helps
Hey, I just want to know when you install the new downpipe do you need a new gasket and new clamps?
I reused the stock gasket. They included the clamps
Im coming from an F82 and I just recently bought a 2019 M5 comp as well. As far as installing catless DPs, I’m assuming you now have a CEL right? What’s a way to get rid of it? Also are you going to tune it with HCP?
I have the BM3 tune so it turns off the CEL.

You can put them on without a tune but will not see the full benefit. You will also have a CEL without a tune

I just installed Keller Primaries and Secondaries....now I have a check engine light.....I have ODX CX but don't know how to clear the check engine light on the dash. I was waiting for you to explain how you removed yours but didnt. Can you advise me or maybe make a video how to do so please?
Are you tuned? If so your tune can remove monitoring. If you are not tune you will continue to get a CEL. I have a video showing how to remove CELs

I just watched your video on the BimmerCode, but did not see where you can clear the check engine light. Please advise what do to with OBD on BimmerCode

Maxx sound - both, if you still want to pass emissions only do secondary. Even doing secondary tho, it is still a 4-5 hour job depending on
are some brands or sizes better for turbo spool/exhaust sound or does that not matter at all (size and brand) as long as they’re both catless.
At the end of the day it is just open metal pipe. Just make sure it has a flex pipe and you are good. You only really need the huge downpipes if you have upgraded turbos

How are primary and secondaries both selling for 550 total? VRSF sells them for 600 each.. and keller for over 1300 each!
Every company overprices their Downpipes. At the end of the day they are just pieces of metal welded and bent. When I had my G80 I personal saw $1200 DPs and my MAD ones and the MAD ones look better and I got them for $300 bucks 😂

I never did because I went directly to a stage 2 tune which removes the CEL

I bet it did. I used them on my G80 and it was perfect fitment. Downpipes are just metal pipes. No need to spend a fortune
@What's your Forte ? that's not the point I was trying to make. The hanger & o2 port location 90% downpipes on V8 engine are precisely position. FiY
@@YouStupid69 all of those lined up but there was one mounting point on the back of the engine on the driver side that did not line up on these but everything else did. These where about 90% accurate which I will take as the Downpipes don’t move at all.
@@WhatsyourFortesame with my install. Brackets lines up on top and bottom but brackets in the middle to head were off, but like you said with top and bottom brackets right, not really going to matter

Yep about 90% of all car parts are made there. No way to escape that unless you leave the cats on.
