I went Universal Orland for the first time last summer and I went on this ride. After seeing Rexy come out and dropping I got so incredibly emotional. And I was 18 years old! It’s impossible not to get emotional when you grow up with the JP franchise!
You should read the book version of JP 1 and JP2 it’s way better then the movie. It’s more of a sci-fi horror though. Like compys getting off the island and eating a new born in a crib. Or the trodons being nightmare fuel. Or a T. rex still chasing humans although it has a huge fresh carcus to eat. Which is malice on the Rex’s part.. remember Jurassic park didn’t make animals they made monsters in the book.
They should NEVER EVER EVER change this to Jurassic World!!!
Also, this has one of my favorite night rides!
Edit 2024: however, it is in *DESPERATE* need for some kind of refurbishment. They don’t need to re-theme it, just update and renovate it, starting with the animatronics

The only good thing that could come out of updating it to Jurassic World is maybe the ride can get some movie accurate roars for the dinosaurs that aren’t Velociraptors or Dilophosaurus. That being said I don’t want to see that either as someone who lives in Hollywood.

imagine riding a ride which has a massive drop at the end alone at night jeez gives me the creeps
Well, I'm not afraid to go down the toilet on this ride, especially Splash Mountain!
I rode it at night. My cousin and I with two strangers behind us. Wasn't bad
No lie. I could have ridden this ride by myself but at 18 at the time, I was a big baby
Okay yeah I went for an after hours event so it was just me and my dad at like 11 pm alone and we had no idea it had a drop.
Even worse, I had asked the guy if it had ANY fast spots or drops and he said it went 5 mph all the way through and no drops.
He was gone when we got off- including the 6 people with him who said absolutely nothing

I rode this by myself one time at night, definitely an experience I won't forget
the drop at the end is always so underestimated until you’re on it. me and my friend were joking around about how steep the drop was before riding, thinking it would be more of a slanted drop. feels like you’re going straight down, 90* on the actual drop lol. still very fun though, i would mentally prepare yourself beforehand

Jurassic Park and Jaws were always best to ride at night. Made things much more creepy. R.I.P Jaws the ride.

I don't like scary rides or rides with big drops so when I got talked into it on my last trip to Orlando I was so scared I passed out at the top of the last ramp. Didn't wake up until the boat docked so I didn't get to see any of the end of the ride. Thank you for posting this so I can at least see what I missed!
That was the biggest drop I've ever faced in my entire life. I didn't pass out but I kept holding the safety lock like my life depended on it 🤣😅

This version is so much better than Jurassic World, I love how it takes you through industrial backstage areas to make it feel like you really weren’t supposed to go that way. They should add the tense countdown from the original Hollywood version, that made it so scary for me as a kid!

It was smart of you to sit in the back, you have more time to see the dinosaurs after they pop out.

I find it hard to believe that the drop is only 85 feet. Every time I ride it that drop gets me everytime and it feels a lot higher than 85 feet, more like 100feet. Considering the height of the building itself is huge. Hmmmm Maybe because the drop is in the dark so it feel that way?
That's only 15 feet more. 2 car lengths. Not much of a difference.

When I went on the ride, the end part shocked me to death. then when you land it’s like doing a cannon ball in a pool

Fun water ride to ride when needing to cool off from a hot humid Florida day this ride was very thrilling and quiet interesting ( if you are short and scrawnyish I recommend not suiting on the edges I sat on the edge and for one half of my body was wet the other half dry and 2 on the final drop it felt as if I was about to fly out of my seat ) overall I still reccomend it but try to not under estimate how fast you go

I’ve only ever been on this ride once back in like 2009 I haven’t gone back on it even though I’ve been to Universal so many times because I was so terrified as a little kid

I think universal studios hollywood have the best drop finale in the old jurrasic park ride the T-rex being like 10 cm in front of you is amazing.
But about the ride in my opinion the three atraccions are amazing the orlando,the old hollywood and the new but, I would like to see a ride that combines the orlando ride plus the hollywood ride (the old one) and with an ending similar to that of the new remodeling of the jurrasic world the ride ride and that hypothetical attraction goes from the era of jurrasic park to the era of jurrasic world in the middle of the ride.

Whenever I watch this video, I always get scared because at the drop I remember how big it was when I rode it and I get that same feeling.
Hollywood Jurassic World- The Ride
I went on this ride on June 22. The drop at the end is 85ft. I like that this version of the T-Rex is green while the T-Rex at Universal Studios Hollywood was brown.

The Jurassic park ride T. rex in Florida is the best!
I will say that ending with the Trex slowly coming out is way cooler than Hollywoods original and what it still is where the Trex just comes out fast at the end and you barely get to see it in all it's glory. Hopefully the new new update will fix this
I wish they would update the animatronics, but other than this this ride is literally amazing. It is actually genuinely scary at night.

I went on this when I was there and it was cool but I hardly got a drop of water on me! And I didn't go at night, but I hate the lap bars because they are always wet and they are made out of rubber so its hard to hold onto them.

I went on this when I was 9 and loved it and I also went on other rides as well!
When I went with my mom in I think 2017 she and I thought it was a lazy river. We were front row, around the 2:40 mark I started to be like “mom is this that really tall drop water ride” preceding to freak out. Was fun after the fact. I think I rode it again lol

bro😭 when i first went on my brother just got off the velocicoaster and we all wanted a chill ride, so we saw that this ride said it was a “relaxing river ride” and we had no idea.. When we started going up i was like” I didn’t sign up for this”. After the second drop i was like” that’s not that bad”, then right before the third drop i didn’t realize there was a third drop😭 I thought we were at the end or something
When I rode this I did not expect such a big drop for a water ride!

I first went on this ride when I was a little kid and I will never forget how scared I was on that final drop when it seemed like the T-Rex was going to get me. I went on it again years later as well.

Rode this for the 1st time in forever last night. It was dark & raining. Some dinos weren't showing & our boat stoppéd in front of T-rex. Felt just like the 1993 film.

I went here in 2018 and I went on this ride because my mom made me (idk why) and then right when we dropped I screamed my head off and I was soaked, then I said I'll never ride it again and that I would prefer the Harry Potter ride (I might ride it again, I mean it's not worse than the zip lining in Gatlinburg Tennessee!)
