- We're trying out no till on the Habitat Oasis Project with the Land Pride 606NT compact no till drill that we rented from the local Soil and Water Conservation District office. Our first planting with the Land Pride no till drill is native warm season grasses (NWSG); big bluestem, little bluestem, indian grass, and sideoats grama. Not all went as planned so we will rent it again for the soybeans and the sunflowers.
We cover in this video;
Quick introduction of the Land Pride 606NT no till drill
Using the John Deere 4052R and why
Why we decided to No Till
What we are planting
Preparing the drill for use
Overview of how the Land Pride no till drill works
Planting of the native warm season grasses

Lots of useful tidbits here. Thanks!
Thanks. Hope it was helpful. Jason
This is almost a review video for the seed drill :)
Great info in this episode.
What is your plans with this particular piece of land?
Yea. Kind of a review and first time user experience video.
Have you seen episode 34 “The Habitat Oasis Project”? It is an overview of what we are doing with our land. That episode talks about our plans to transition our 80 acre strip mine from invasive plants to more native habitat. Check it out and let us know what you think. - Jason
@@HardyBrothersOutdoors Hi Jason,
No I haven't made it that far. I started at 1 and made it through to 14 and then have caught a few new ones but I'm still going through them all. I will definately be watching full videos and commenting on them for sure.
Well thanks for watching and commenting. We do appreciate it.
If you are interested in habitat management and conservation the Habitat Oasis Playlist has some good videos.
💚🤘🏿
Thanks for watching. Jason
Good video. What county are you in? My buddy is interested in doing stuff like this on his farm in Athens county.
We are in hocking. Lots of good resources available down that way.
Now that's some hi tech baiting .
Thats some high tech "habitat management"...don't know how familiar you are with native warm season grasses but it provides great habitat for fawning and turkey poults. Thanks for watching and commenting!
literally no game that I know of eats NWSG, it's just cover
A lot of money just to plant grass seed
HAHAHA... renting a no till is not expensive, but maybe you didn't watch the whole video... but thanks for sharing your opinion.
