- Is this the last Bandai S.H. Figuarts Star Wars offering? If so, there's worse ways to go than the Mandalorian Armorer, who is a fantastic figure that probbably could have used more paint and less engineering.

#SHFiguarts #StarWars #Mandalorian - Zábava
the "dont put em in your mouth" camera look gets me every time 😂 please never stop doing that
Best review of something I really wanted, but the detailed, balanced and honest review here helps me make a better purchase choice - thanks Robo!
My opinions get shoved in a lot but that's really all I'm going for, an overview of the toy itself.
@@TheFwoosh You do lean very positive compared to most reviewers (which is great), so I love when your critical side comes out
A Fwoosh review day! The BEST kind of day! ...This is the way
Before the plague, I was all about SH Figuarts. Inflation coupled with pay cuts sent me right back to Marvel Legends and the Black Series. But both those lines have improved to the point where I don't really mind.
I’m glad I didn’t go through with my pre-order. Black Series will do just fine this time. But I’m in love with my SHF, IG-11. Thanks Robo
That helmet looks phenomenal!
Great review Robo. You and J Hernandez are my primary inspiration for my videos. Thank you for doing what you do.
In fairness, the figuarts dragonball collectors have been screaming for an integrated shoulder piece for years lol, so blame us for that :P
I hear you man
Great review!. Just got this and very happy with it!. Cheers!.
Nice figure, I think I'll just be happy with the black series for now
Awesome review lol love the intro
I prefer the colors from the black series but the sculpt on the Shfigurearts
I prefer sculpt of black series but articulation on figurarts
No denying the Black Series figures have upped the bar for quality at that price point. I'll even buy that some may view them as better value dollar for dollar. All that said to me SH Figuarts and the other companies like Figma, Revoltech, etc..., all use better materials, better molds/sculpts, details and functionality. Worthy of double the price or more? For me, given the option yes, but I'm also not trying to buy every figure that exists lol. Thanks for another great review Robo
Hello Robo
I'm not a super Star Wars fan,but ,is a fwoosh review i needed to check, yours videos are amazing
It's always awesome to see a Star Wars review from Uncle Robo! Lol! It would've been cool for the ice cream maker/safe to hinge open but then again it might flop open and the hinges would be oversized. I hate that Bandai and Tamashii still don't go with soft goods for the skirt and back furry cape. I do like the shift down feature for the knees though, that's actually really neat! I hope they release more figures like General Grievous soon! Yeah we have the Bandai Kit, but I'd like a more playable action figure of Grievous.
I love your shirt!
The distance of quality use to be so far between Black Series and SHF. Nowadays it’s getting way too close to justify spending more on the SHF. I really wish SHF would improve their quality but they’ve been stagnate for a while now. Don’t get me wrong, still great figures, but it no longer has the “premiere import” reputation that they use to have for me. Mafex is straight crushing it at 1/12 stuff and Hasbro does wonders for their price point. SHF needs to step up or it may get left behind. Not trying to sound like a Debbie downer, it’s just how I feel after getting my Armorer in. I put her next to the Black Series and just shrugged. Lol what am I doing with my life...
Yeah, exactly. It used to be SHF for all humans, Black Series for aliens, model kits for droids and armor. But now, Black Series has improved in all departments. And we can gripe about a few dollars price increase but it's still WAY cheaper than imports while almost matching aesthetic. Of course, looks like we may not even have the option anymore with no models or SHF on the horizon.
Fwoosh reviews are why I still use youtube
I spit out my drink cos of laughing at the intro! Hahaha This is the way.
I'm happy with my Black series The armorer sh figuarts are hella expensive
It's overpriced for what you get
I’m not sure where that extra 60 bucks goes. Black series is fine in this scale
@@Lacaframalama I think its the quantity they make. They don't make as many as Hasbro does. Hasbro can sell them cheaper. Plus, Figurarts spends more money on articulation (even though I don't think their articulation is that much better).
6:03 oh, it has a Darth maul function
It seems sh figuarts doesn't want to drop the figure's I really want like General Grevious and Super battle Droids. Awesome review 👏
I don’t know if I should collect Mezco, Hot toys, or Mafex. I need to get into something. But I want nicer figures than like Mcfarlane and Marvel Legends. Looking for DC, Marvel mainly
I'd split whatever your budget is into all 3 of those brands that you mentioned. That's all I collect, and Mafex. I only have around 50 figures but it's all quality stuff that I love
The SHF figs do have pretty great articulations, but TBS is quite comparable to the overall look and with a price I can stomach. I’ve only got one SHF Scariff Trooper I picked up at a Japanese toy store in Sasebo. Thanks for the review!
I love sh figure arts but I think the mando ones are great for a solo display or with other lines because they’re so clean with no battle damage
A really great video but you didn't say if it can kick its own butt lol but great video keep them coming and where can you look for the sh figures at
This is the review
Here ya go Tamashii, THIS is a good figure.
Over-engineered is right. Just makes this figure more tedious than FUN! SHF losing their touch (for me at least)
Great review Señor Robo! 🤌🏼
The Mando Hand is for the beskar ingot!
Except the instructions clearly show it's for the camtono.
The first Star Wars Ice Cream Maker
its that chair in the background from j jameson!!!
I like how she looks sligthly animated.
Good review but I think I'll stick with my $20 black series one
Watching you pull off the back skirt piece made me wince. Reminds me of how bad the hood was for RoS Rey. Great review as always!
My beskar brings all the Mando’s to the yard
06:53 That's what she said! Sorry but I had to make that tired joke.
I wonder if they are done. I’ve collected all of them and they used to be one a month a one time. Last year sucked and this is off to a bad start. Real bad.
i need bo katan, cara dune from SH
SHF Star Wars at this point is just expensive frustration compared to Black Series
Any idea when the Mafex Mandalorian will be ready for review?
Probably in May when the figure comes out
Good figure, but not a must have in my opinion. Appreciate you.
I always thought the fur over her shoulders was long curly hair when I was watching the show.
No you are correct, this is the last star wars figuarts that was on order. Which is weird considering that tamashii has no problem releasing another goku & Ironman but they are slow when it comes to announcing a new star wars figure especially one of the many prototype or at least a reissue. I still holding out on a chewbacca (new hope) shore trooper clone trooper or battle droid reissue because I don't want to pay second prices. I actually think the armorer is engineered just fine. Especially compared to the mando dumb Rifle pieces, harness & cape plug in engineering.
I missed the pre-order on this one so probably won't pick it up. After seeing the review, I'm not really disappointed. I have both Black Series versions and this one just doesn't look as much better then the Black Series as the price would indicate. I still have not opened either of my figuarts Mando's because I don't think I am keeping them either. I don't like the proportions very much, and I am hoping the Mafex one will me as good as their Boba Fett releases. Thanks for the review Robo. It is always appreciated.
It might be a little over engineered but I'm glad she can get into the kneeling position. I'm still disappointed with the black series lackluster knee articulation. Really killed what could have been a really solid figure
Just get the deluxe Black Series one and u get a better figure and save urself 40 bucks.
Okay so this is random but it's Community talk robo I just went out and picked up the massive neca upgrade predator from the craptastic last Predator movie and I got to tell you in your words it's a big hulking bastard and you need to pick it up I mean the movie sucks but the figure is stellar. Now they just need to do an engineer in the same height
I just want Grievous at this point, before the entire SW line is completely dead. Bandai is best at droid like characters, so Grievous would be just the thing! Although frankly, I wanted the repaint of battle droids without backpack, or just the commander too. I think battle droid has got to be one of the finest figure in the entire lineup.
As for SHF, its a shame they no longer focus much at all on Star Wars, now that they have started implementing much needed upgrades and perfecting some of the engineering details. Sure, they may get carried away every once in a while, overthinking something simple, but lets appreciate it for a moment! And remember about some of the figures that just were too rudimentary. Say mandalorians for example. Right now they are at least hiding the bicep swivels better, or the toe joint makes the tip of the feet flat, and theres no part of the toe joint sticking out, making the figure nearly impossible to balance without a stand. I hope they release Mandalorian Boba Fett at some point. And I wouldnt mind a Jango making a come back. Technically, theres an excuse for that: The version they have released is from Geonosis, so how about a slightly different Kamino version next?
What's up, guys
5:08 It's not a bug,it's a feature
Bandai is releasing a larger number of Figuarts as exclusives now (Marvel, Star Wars) and they've forgotten some of their other lines (Street Fighter). Maybe they're getting out of those lines.
Dope
The Armorer’s real name is Amanda Lorian.
That took me way too long to figure out...
I'm on the fence of should I get this or not? Someone help!
You really don't need to if you have the Black Series.
@@TheFwoosh I own the black series version but her fur cape thing keeps falling off and its a nightmare.. anyway I can fix this issue? Also keeo up the great vids much love dude!
I ordered this off Nin-nin game the moment I saw Isaac Wong's photo's(search his name on IG or Facebook). I'd suggest looking at his review pics to see whether you want it or not.
It'll also retain its value being a web exclusive so you can always sell it later for what you paid for or possibly more(look at SHF IG-11) if you don't think it's worth it.
I wonder if the paint apps are lacking because they spent more money on the engineering. If that were the case, then big ooof because I'd rather have better paint than some gimmicky articulation.
Damn I’m early
The side-by-side comparison makes me like the Black series even more. Better "real human" proportions. I think the S.H. is a bit too wide. Proportions look a bit more super-heroish
Yeah, I like the proportions on both but it wasn't until later that I put pics side by side and realized the Black Series is more accurate.
Waz up robo
The knees are a bit ridiculous.
Extras are nice, but black series is better
I see you lost the peg for Mando’s shoulder... this is the way
Oh yeah, I think it was during the actual review of that figure, so it was gone before i had a chance to even display it, haha!
That engineering on the apron seems needlessly complicated. Why not just make it fabric instead?
Watching this review just gave me WAY more respect for the Black Series version. This is fine, it's just not anywhere near good enough to justify the additional price.
What is she doin DOUBLE CHEEKED UP on a Tuesday afternoon ?
I like the sculpt on most of this, I just feel like Hasbro did better with the helmet sculpt. It’s just a little too narrow looking.
Hasbro is doing better Star War figures than imports now, which is good. Imports still beats them in Marvel movie figures though, but Hasbro will perfect them eventually
I don't know, I dropped SHF Marvel a while back, Legends is giving me all I want. MAFEX is still in the running but their prices are getting worse and worse.
Great review Robo, but I think I’m done with SHF Star Wars... the value proposition just isn’t there for me anymore.
Can't really argue with that. But it SHF Star Wars is done with us first, haha. (Watch 5 new pre-orders pop up tomorrow)
I honestly don't get why people buy these figures when the black series ones are perfectly fine.
You're right, the Black Series is perfectly fine. Now. That wasn't always the case though. Maybe that's why Bandai hasn't solicited anymore after this? Black Series improving overall while SHF seems to have some wonky decisions going on?
i strongly agree, and the fact that they gave her a plastic "cape" piece over a faux fur piece like the hasbro pulse exclusive is a big selling point they missed.
more accessories, better paint (normally), faces arent shiny. although, I do think the black series has better likenesses to the actors.
I honestly don't get why you collect black series figures, or anything really, when saving your money is perfectly fine 🙃
I think they just don’t like that version for whatever reason they have
Hi
Comment
I don’t feel the need to drop 100 bucks On This. The Black Series is great for 20 bucks.
Yup, I can agree with that.
First of all Goku is 5’7”
This is the way and 2 scoops 🙄😞😞😞😞
Once again im sticking with the black series , the bandai one is too stylized for me
No offense, Robo, but that figure is almost completely painted.
It seems people are so accustomed to Hasbro figures that they think the colors are molded plastic. Drives me nuts.
Babbabouy
I honestly think that the black series armorer is much better than the sh figuarts base from the price.
With black series on the rise in quality and SHF star wars still unable to be sold directly from Tamashii in the U.S., it's pretty safe to say that SHF Star Wars is dead now. SHF only lives because of the DB license, and they're starting to lose there, too, with the outdated engineering and accessories that are left to 3rd party. Tamashii just needs new management
arent figuarts 100% painted, except for the joints? I think they are.
If they do it's just a base coat, and that might as well be the color of the plastic itself.
@@TheFwoosh I dont know for sure how many coats they use, but come on, compare them to hasbro. Just painting the surface makes so much difference. So much more depth, reflects the light in totally different way! Its true though they could use a bit more love. By the way, I am not sure if you care much about this one, but recantly figma released a figure of the Wolf from Sekiro, and maan paint on it (maybe minus the face) is soo good! You should really check it out if you get the chance.
Too close to the black series to spend an extra $ 50...
Hard to disagree with that.
Expensive, very minimal paint detailing and little to no accessories.
No accessories ??? Are you sure?? Have you seen the black series version doesn´t include the beskar camtono, the beskar itself and extra hands, Figuarts may be expensive but most of them have a lot more detail and accessories than black series ones in case you didn´t notice it.
Head looks a bit small.
Not worth my hard earned money!
Mine is on the way, but kinda regret it after watching this review. Why have a plastic cape and 2 skirt options which all limit movement when cloth would look better and allow more movement? More bad choices by Bandai S.H. Figuarts recently. 😡
Glad I stopped collecting these.
