Super cute !!! The only thing is if you do not have the correct monofin support , you can have difficulty swimming and even drown. Because it doesn't push you through the water it can weigh you down instead. Even though it's expensive buy flippers or a monofin always! Safety is the most important

For my 12 birthday I got a fin fun mermaid tail in Celtic green and I love it!!! I suggest that you make the monofin out of plastic so it's more durable and less floppy. You will also be able to swim faster with a plastic monofin 😊🐬

My only concern is when, you a Fin Fun mermaid tail Mono Fin for example, when you put the fin in the water...It doesn't fold in on itself. And Thats exactly what yall's Mono Fin did and it shouldn't do that...at all! So i reccomend putting (since its a DIY) a thick peace of sturdy plastic!

The reason why is because i mermaid...i do mermiading (and yes thats a name for it so if you don't do mermaiding...please please PLEASE dont say anything like "oh well i DONT have a tail or anything...but mermaiding isn't a thing!!!" BECAUSE IT IS! And just Google search it...because it is! Now...In the mermaid world im not yet a professional( not yet because of the fact im only in my teens) but i know what a good mermaid tail looks like and this tail in the video is it! Lil tip, leave Lil holes in the underside of the tail so water can get out too. Makes it easier to use

Use plexiglass for the fin. It's cheap here so I'm not sure if it's cheap where you live but it would work a lot better and that way it won't rot like the foam will after some time :)

Since it will be covered by fabric anyway, might I suggest the corrugated plastic they use for campaign signs? It's pretty light weight, but it should be stiff enough to hold the shape.

if you want to make a monofin that will give propulsion use a sheet of lexan poly-carbonate it can be found at Home Depot but needs to be cut with a Jigsaw tool. Just don't use Plexiglas because the pressure and weight of the water will cause the Plexiglas to shatter and it can cut you up pretty badly!
