Oh my gosh....I laughed when you found the magic ring!! But whoa...two rings in one day is unheard of. That lead disk, I have heard of them being filling for a horse boss. Maybe not, just tossing that out there.

You know you can get those little acid test kits for metal content reasonably cheap. That way you can test the metal content ..like gold content and silver.
That would solve some of the mystery items for sure.

Another brilliant video Alexander. I am amazed how you have got your ears tuned to the xp tones. I started off with the Deus Lite but I couldn't get my ears tuned to the tones, and was digging everything. Eventually I bought the remote. Now I'm not sure if its helping as some of the squeaky tones you dig and find good things I would probably ignore even with the remote. Your channel is by far one of the best detecting channels on CZcams. Your knowledge and understanding of what you do is brilliant. Well done sir.
Did you have full tones on when just relying on your ears? You have to as its the only reliable way of using the LITE version in my opinion Brian... and thank you very much for your kind words! All the Best, Alexander
To be fair i just put headphones on one of the preset channels. I am fairly new to detecting and bought the deus lite as my first ever detector. I bought the remote after a couple of months as wasn't having much luck with just the tones, as everything sounded similar. Maybe im just going deaf in my old age 😂.
the problem is brian that with the tone breaks on the factory settings a bad low conducting target will still ring "good" and you cant cross refer to the numbers without the remote.... with full tones on the HOT programme (no9) foil and cole will sound low and fuzzy.... not as a good target - do try it!@@brianrutherford1413

Ted I just bought the Deus 2 "Lite" very reasonably from LP.... might be worth looking into say I sent you... and the Deus i is very good price too the weight difference will be very noticeable...

Hi Alexander. That carrot field has contained a range of amazing finds. The Roman ring is a stunner and the cut sestertius very interesting,. I have never seen one so precisely cut. Another session there may reveal more wonders if you can fit it in. Looking forward to your next foray. When will Tasci get another country jaunt?
He comes out with me John when I'm on land I know really well, but that land doesn't seem to be very productive anymore so I don't really record just potter around for three or four hours with the dog. The fields I go on which produce are too dangerous really for him to be set loose and I didn't know about Roman cut coins until someone else mentioned it to ... makes it a bit more special, doesn't it?! Not too bad since you ask I quit my favourite hobby "drinking " a month ago due to health reasons and its stuff like this and si finds and nicola white who have helped keep my mind busy cuz I would have also been out fishing but the weather has been awful and the odd clear day the tides been all wrong so it's been grim but glad you guys make these videos because they are a life saver for many people who probably want to get out in the field as it were but can't for many reasons, thx again buddy 😊

Haven't seen them myself - yet. A guy doing a PhD has tracked them and he reckons there are 70 adults and more juveniles.

Wow, now that really is a super snake-ring Alex, never ever found a full one like that. That 2nd ring... It just might be relatively modern and was once gilded to look like a gold wedding ring but having been in the ground for a while the gilding has come off?
Now then Alex, some of the copper coins you find; you often say "wonderful condition" but I think you sometimes get over-excited. If you can actually see some hair on the head then I would agree but when the head looks like a table-tennis ball I think you should downgrade it a touch?
That brings an old man's rant to an end and as usual I thoroughly enjoy your videos and look forward to the next one.

I think you're probably right about the rain: - but it has a very obvious joint to it. I don't think that would been disguised by the gilding. And sorry about overplaying the coins. I really don't mean to. I think it is better in real life and also I think my point was the fact that he had no corrosion at all; it is smooth purely from use and therefore still in my opinion in good condition! Ha ha I love the magic ring! And that snake ring is a real work of art. I don't think I agree with you about the condition of George II coppers - I tihnk that field has been unusually kind to them. Usually Georgian coins are just toast and I'm sure it's mainly because of farm checmicals but can be the soil type too. Back in the 1970s when I started they came up much better. But mid Victorian ones, especially 1860s almost always have a nice patina with fine detail and that must be something to do with the alloy. Thanks fo another lovely video!
Youre right Stefan I didnt really make myself very clear - I agree with you what i wanted to convey was that compared to George III I am surprised I find any smooth George II coins at all! Hope all well with you are you finding much?
I'm at work in Sandakan in Borneo until early October but that should be a good time of year to be back. I really want to return to the field where I found three Saxon and three Iceni coins fairly close together but it's been under maize for ages. I wouldn't mind trying one of those new XP Xtreme Hunter things there... you never know!
