I had a ‘69 Plymouth GTX 440. It was a great car. It was beautiful, a gentleman’s muscle car. Compared to a ‘66 GTO I was driving a second class citizen and I knew it. That car was what made me love and learn more about motors and style. Only wish I owned one today. I’m 75 years old too!

What a great story! I love that you got your car back from your teenage years and restored it. This is such a great mix of restored and also modified for convenience and performance! The cutouts are awesome! Love you still put your foot in it Boss!

I bought a tri power 4 speed GTO in 1966 for $3379. It had the AM-FM radio with the 3-d echo sound effect device that GM provided. Blue with blue vinyl top. Had sintered metallic brakes up front that needed to be heated up to work properly. I had a 4.33 rear axle ratio.

I had the pleasure of meeting Walter at the GTOAA Nationals. His car is like him....a class act! A real gentleman who help a younger guy (me) learn a few more things about our cars. He lives in Florida in a newer development. Cheers and thanks Walter!

I had a 1967 Goat in 1969 with a full racing cam, twin Holly 3 barrels. I made the headers myself welding them on the engine. It was a screamer. I made a video about it where I ran it into Lake Michigan at over 100 mph. It had a Hurst 4 Speed trans. I seldom took it out 2rd gear in the city.
