A cool side-effect of the immersive portals piston door is if someone breaks through the iron blocks they will just end up in the nether instead of on the other side of the door
Well, you could break the blocks and loop around the portal frame in the nether to reenter the overworld from the other side.

Spectator mode has no gravity and no hotbar, so unless he took a lot of time to make it look like he wasn't in spectator mode... He does switch to it after (I think to get out of the nether without breaking anything)

Tbh I honestly forgot the spy glass existed. It's cool sure, but with optifine is obsolete.
Plus optifine helps out performance. I know without it I would get a max of 20 fps because I have a shitty laptop.

@@eveescastle5866 I get what you mean about increasing FPS, but optifine shouldn't make a vanilla feature worse just because it does it better. Idk I probably might still use it because optifine is usually more for aesthetic shots rather than actually zooming in and the way they implemented the spyglass makes that impossible, but I really think we should appreciate Mojang are adding in a feature players have wanted for a long time.

And with the Create mod, you could easily do a "portal cycler", where you can push a portal frame away and light up another portal to another dimension instead :3

immersive portals adds a "portal helper" block which allows you to make 2 frames and link them up, whether across dimensions or just 2 points in the overworld. the frame does not have to be in tact for the portal to remain so you can replace the frame with any block after lightning it. it also allows the use of 1 way portals if you set it up correctly. things can get so much more confusing so quickly and i would like to see what you can do with this information
I feel like the hoe would be a good tool they could give the rotation effect to. Left click a block that can be rotated (logs, glazed terracotta, Redstone components) and it will spin the item to the next orientation. Would make building a lot more efficient

Mob farms are way more effort on bedrock for less rates, countless bugs that can revert process and kill you on bedrock aren't as insufferable on java bc the dev team actually cares there lol

The portal mod looks really cool, altho I don’t think it’s very “Minecrafty” so it will probably only be a mod, however the other stuff kinda looks like it could be added to the game

I mean, in other forms of media, portals are usually able to be seen through; you can see what’s on the other side of the portal. I know what you mean about the minecraft thing but I think that immersive portals make more sense, while they do destroy any PC that has to run them

The reason why you are going through those solid blocks with Immersive Portals, is because you are flying too fast in Creative, and by the time you are actually inside the Nether (via teleporting essentially), your position was inside the solid block slightly, which allows you to move inside that block. In other words: it shouldn't let you go through it if you are moving around with Vanilla methods (walking, running, jumping, etc). I am pretty sure there is a setting that checks for "loose movement" or something, which might mitigate that "issue", but you'll need to test it out.
So essentialy what youre saying is that i have to ram into it with an elytra?

One of the easiest and best QoL additions Mojang could add would be a "Sort" button to inventory and chests. I don't even care if there is no way to control how it's sorted. I just wanted to be able to click a button and have everything end up in AN order, like with like.

The mod adds a new block to the game that allows you to create portals that dont take you to another dimension but take you to another place in the world. Before you make a stupid comment do some research first.

Hey, not sure if anyone will see this, but you should try making another base using immersive portals. The mod also allows for horizontal and strange-shaped portals which means you can create a series of portals that are different enough to link up and a series of nether portals they link to with levers or buttons to toggle them. It essentially makes a nether "tunnel" with toggleable rooms. You could also try having a series of portals in the nether that all connect to the same overworld portal and activate them primarily in the nether so that this can all be accessed from one portal.
I think that emmersive portal mod should be a part of vanilla minecraft, as long as it can be toggled off.

tbh the reason optifine and immersive Portals will never be in base game is that part of minecrafts appeal is that it can run on low end systems and they both increse game intensity
